Not much built this year but here's two projects that are almost
finished. All that is left are some figures and some stowage...
First one is a SU100 from Dragon and the second one is a
Marder III from UniModel.
Hope you like them...
Best regards

Bravo! I like both of them. Very well done. Do you have some docs for the Marder camo?

Thanks Pawel!!!
No unfortunately I have no documentation on the camo on the Marder.
I just did it without any references so it might not be very accurate but
I felt it looked quite good and unusual...

I'm glad you like it...

I like the Marder best too at the moment but it might change since
I'm not quite finished with the SU100 yet...

Tjena Sven-Åke. Läget?
Ive already seen the SU100, but the marder is probably your best yet. The camo is excellent, but the whole scene looks so real ...very natural finish, with details coming through nicely, it really could be a shrunken scene! This one Im looking forward to seeing live.
Will you be travelling to Stockholm this year or sending your models?

I'm not sure yet if I will be there in person but I will give it a try this year for sure....
The Marder came out quite good in the end and now it's only a few figures left
that will sit next to the tree playing cards ignoring the fact that there's a war
going on just a few miles from where they are sitting...
Thanks for your comments!!!
Cheers!!!

Thanks Anthony!!!
Glad you like the snow....
I'm not used to working with snow in this scale so it was more
or less an experiment to see how it would turn out and I learned
a lot from it so the next one will be a lot easier to do.

Wonderful models!
I am currently building the Su-100 and found the back armour plate of the gun fighting compartment to be a real pain to install properly, that said and done, it is going together as one would expect for a Dragon kit.
The model you have done, looks very forlorn!
How did the Marder build up? I do like the base, particularly the tree.
Cheers

Thanks Mike!!!
Glad you like both of them!
The Marder was as with most of UM's kits very easy to put together and
the level of detail is more than enough.
Glad you like the base, I'm not the one who does this every day so I'm
always a bit shaky when it comes to groundwork but I guess it turned
out quite OK... The tree is from Sweetwater Scenery and started it's life
as a 1/35 scale tree which I cut off a branch which was perfect as a
1/72 scale tree.
Big Thanks!

I used baking soda for the snow on the SU 100 dio.
It works quite well although I would like to find something
with a slightly finer grain...

I've tried "marble dust", put out by the
Arizona Rock and Mineral Co. (click on AZ ROCK SCENERY CATALOG). You can see the Austin Series 1 armored car I put on a base of the "marble dust"
here. Maybe a combo of the two would work best?
The best thing about the marble dust is its "sheen" "out of the bag".

Sven-Åke,
Always a pleasure to see your builds! Super job on both vehicles. Placing the vehicles in there natural enviroment and adding the figures in and around the Marder III brings a since of action and realizium that cannot be achived by the vehicle(s) standing on there own. I wouldn't worry about the camo on the marder III, leave that for the rivit counters! From here it looks authenic and very well executed. Can't wait to see you place some figures with the SU 100.
Truly you are an inspiration to me and many of us modelers out here on the internet. Thank you so much for sharing your hard work with us all. Keep on modeling!!!
