Here are some mediocre pictures of my latest diorama. Been working on the building for a while. It is scratchbuilt out of sheets of cast hydrocal.
Will try to get some better pictures directly.
Proof I actually do build models:

Maybe if we don't get the sleet, snow, freezing rain combo we are supposed to get tomorrow.
Going to try and make it.

Dave,
You would be amazed what happens when the wife gets moved to an odd second shift (noon to 11 pm) and I work from 5 am until 2 pm. The 2 Jack Russell terriers and I get a lot done.
Shaun
/Trust me about the pics. This thing looks way better in person...

Doesn't look like I am going to Indy...
"Now, the storm is definitely not over. The freezing rain and sleet will definitely not come to fruition as planned, but there is a chance of light freezing drizzle through the early afternoon hours, and a more steady light freezing rain will occur South of Interstate 70.
Moderate to heavy snow still looks to develop North of Indianapolis this afternoon and continue through the early evening. 2-4 inches of additional snowfall appears likely North of the Interstate by late evening."
Crap.
Shaun
Preston,
The kneeling guy is on the ground floor inside the building. He is a German waiting for a shot.
Thanks for the compliment!

Actually it is pretty nice. Two minor points though... First I think that they would have nailed the boards across the windows into the wooden frames (easier and more expedient). I also would like to know how the trooper's goggles are attached to their hemets? You took the time to make nice slings for their weapons and forgot staps for the goggles. Very noticeable. I really like the diorama and the paint jobs are nicely done.

Bob,
Thanks for the feedback. Can't really fix the boarded up windows without ripping the plaster of Paris off the front face of the building so they will to stay. I noticed the goggles needed straps when I reviewed the pictures and they are on the "to do" list.
Thanks again,
Shaun

Nice effort with good detail.
My nit pick point is > Both Vehicles cannot move as built !! Why?
Because nobody has a drivers periscope inserted, nor can the bow machine gun be operated for the very same reason !
So I guess we could say the hull crews will have to open up before moving? I hope they are all in a very safe and secure rear area...
I am not a great fan of 'Rusty' chains hanging around AFV's either?
Still, a great well thought out dio.
Keith.
