Hi Guys,
Would anyone have a good pic of the 2|" Mtr in the gunners compartment of the Universal Carrier. I am particularly interested in how the mtr was fixed to the side of the compartment, was it bolted to the side or fixed to some sort of shelf. Can't get a clear pic to see the fitting.
Thanks
Al

Hi David,
I have the UC Mk I/II pamphlet from Military Vehicle Workshop (BTW exceedingly good value at £3.00) which has excellent drawings of the fittings, stowage etc. This shows where the mtr was fixed on what looks like a plate, but the metal plate, if that is what it is isn't that clear.
I have a couple of pics, but these bolth may have been for something else
If I can't get a clear image with the mrt in place I can just make a small plate for it or I could mount it on the engine deck as shown in Marlborough in Opprey's Universal Carrier 36-48 lol, lol
Whilst on carriers, as I'm not going to mount the MG, I'll remove the small square mounting the swivle glued into to. I think we spoke about that before.
I assume you 'where have you looked' comment means this should be easy to find lol, lol
Cheers
