This piece is a corner stone for a Fantastic diorama. A great creative center piece. Lots of your work can make the entire setting for a diorama, this one has flare that can bring many pieces together and really make a viewer look twice.

Love it.

Hi there

That brick effect is brill. Looks really authentic. What did you use to make the mortar between the brickwork?

Nice work

Fantastic Carlos. I do like the variation in brick patterns in such a small area.
Could be the photo distortion, but in the first photo is it sitting square? Appears to slope to the left of screen?
Good stuff

wow, what a beauty! I must say i even prefer it when you do some industrial buildings than historical one, you've really got the eye for just cutting them right so that they look impressive! and then, those details are fantastic, you really have the architect's eye

Thanks to all of us for your nice words:
Nige, the material among bricks are spackle, the material that professional wall painters use for fill little imperfections in the walls before paint it.

hope that this photos explain better than my words your question

Bradley: Yes I need improve my photo skills :-)

Claude: you not need copy to nobody... but I´m happy to share my tecniques with all Armorama contributors :-)

Jean: good observation! IMHO te secret for a good diorama architecture is based in unbalanced volume, texture and how from where the piece is cut. Here I try make a unbalanced piece cutting one of the pilars of the gate.

cheers

Hi Carlos. Inspirational as always. Every time you show your latest creation, Im sitting here wishing, I had thought of that. Not alone are your building skills remarkable .. your eye for detail and how you represent it in scale, is top notch. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice details and composition. The cork and spackle technique is something I'd like to try.
