I just made a german checkpoint of wood, but i don't really like it. How would you suggest making a mold of the walls to build it?? And how would I make a sniper perch or nest for a german sniper defending a small Bavarian village? I've tried to make molds of poster board before but htey don't last too long, any suggestions welcome

Hi,

Here Guaritas you can find a doc in MSWord with the drawing of a sentry hut for a check point, that I have done based on the ITALERI kit.

Hi alphasniper. Italeri have a small diorama base of a sentry hut/checkpoint which can be bought quite cheaply. They cost about $7 here in Sweden. It is called;

Hi Alphasniper,
I don't think there was something lke a common sniper nest! If there's something which snipers avoid like the plague it is a hideout out of a textbook! Just make something which is inconspicous and strategically positioned. Remember, don't g for the obvious, because that's where the enemy will look first!

Expanding upon what Golikell told you, often times snipers shoot out of holes. Rooftops and other elevated positions, despite the fact they give an excellent view of the battlefield, leave a sniper trapped with one route of escape. Dug in positions leave more options. A sniper always has a minimum of two routes of escape from their nest.
