Pretty much a total newbie with resin, so I need some advice. I've got an HO Scale hovercraft with a vertical stabilzer fin that is a little (emphasize little!) warped. I'm pretty comfortable with all things styrene, but I don't want to screw up an expensive kit with the wrong technique. Normally I'd be tempted to just warm the part up and gently try to counterbend it , and at some point I'd be satisfied that it had straighened out enough?

Is this safe? Is there a better, sure fire way?

Thanks in advance!

That's what I would do. I'd warm it in hot water and then press or clamp it against a flat surface. Then douse it with cold water to "lock" it into place. Good luck to you
