Looking great! I love Abrams. Does this kit fits good?

And one question in Dutch:
Mag ik weten waar je in Brabant woont? Ik woon zelf in Berkel-Enschot bij Tilburg.

Hi there hazzard! You can check this thread out... Done by matt, he placed his Abrams in a diorama with uneven surfaces and hope it's of help to you.

Hmm maybe you can feature this tank getting bogged down like "Warpig" in Call of Duty 4!

I noticed you opted out from using the metal barrel is it hard to use because i got this kit in my stash and i have been wondering about the metal barrel and if is worth to use or to stick with the plastic one?

Oh hello. An Abrams? Well you've got my attention. Beautiful, clean build Gijs. The scratchbuilt HEMTT box and cooler are very well done. The spare track links look good too.

Inspiration you say? Now let's see what I can find. I had trouble myself trying to find tanks on uneven terrain. Here's what I found in my stash.

Do you want subtle?

Or do you want something a little more extreme?

Now this would be a great diorama. And you would only need to build a small portion of the actual aircraft. Enough to fit a tank on top and show what it is.

Or as Russel suggested the classic shot of a crew hanging around their tank.

This last one is just because it's so cool to look at. I like the portion of tree flying off into the sky in the top right corner.

It's obvious already that this is going to be a top notch Abrams. And the quality of your pictures is excellent as well. Let's everybody see your high quality work. I'm excited to see what's next.

Hell yeah. I think i was just inspired to build my first diorama. The one with the M1 catching some air off that MiG. Got to love those army guys.

A question for you Gijs. Have the side skirts been glued on yet or can they come off? I ask because it looks like the wheels aren't attached yet. Is there enough room to attach them with the skirts in place?

Would you be so kind as to show the other side of the spare road wheel? I've always wondered how they attach to the racks. TIA

some more process not very much but at least something

i worked on the detailing the MinePlow a bit, actualy it is fully workable but since i'm not going to play with it i glued it
it looks very dirty because i couldn't get all the paint off with ovencleaner.

@Boogieboy
here is a shot on how the roadwheel is on the other side.

also made the begining with the Base i will maby show some picture's later since it is very very WIP

The mine plow looks good! Doesn't matter whether it's dirty or not... Cos mineplows are meant to be dirty!
