Just saw this post over on perth:

352xx Soviet tank unit reconnaissance team amphibious vehicle set

Anybody have any clue what it is? a T-38 or T-40 maybe? Can not think of any amphibious things other then these in WWII unless they got GPA. I belive the number buts in into what they used from WWII but I guess it could be a PT-76 from them.

I suspect this is the GPA risen from the depths of time, but that's only a wild guess unsupported by evidence. Wish Tamiya would rework their GAZ-67B back to a wartime version as their current one is soooo oooold.

I agree - I also suspect that those releases with figures, are continuing with Tamiya's agreement with ICM for the figure sets - not a bad thing by any means...

I don't remember any razvedchiki in ICM's range, which is a bit worrying ....

I see your point - memories of the French Infantry in 1/35th?

And the errr... thing that's meant to sit in the turret of the Char B1bis - replaced mine with a 70s-era Heller figure that was a major improvement (with help from Hornet).

They're also showing a Pz II (French Front) and some early war German infantry.
Hopefully the PzII isn't a rehash of the ancient one they did. The troops will be nice provided they aren't sculpted by the guy who did the French infantry.
The good news is that the Blitzkreig era seems to have become suddenly very attractive for companies with the Char Bis and the Hotchkiss from Bronco.
It would be nice to see a new Somua from somebody soon or even a decent Renault FT....I even think someone could open up a whole new market with some accurate WW1 stuff...

Some accurate WW1 stuff would be nice - pity ICM made such a mess of their WW1 British figures
