Don't know the story behind it but it is in a collection up in Anderson, IN. Seems to be in fairly good shape.

Looks more like this 100mm gun here (aka the Chinese Type 55)

Widely used, including Iraq, which might be where this gun originates from.

David-- My bet is still the 85mm. But you comments certainly would explain that they acquired it recently rather that post-WW II or Korea.
Solve the problem if we could see a photo of the data plate.

Scott, just wanted to ask you a couple of questions about your Su-152 build ?
is it the Su version based on the KV chassis or the ISU based on the JS tanks ?

i am currently building the ISU-152, i got a alu gun barrel from Jordi, a 5 star gun.

Is it a Zvezda kit ? what are the major issues so far ?

About the AA-gun i would bet on a 100mm gun...

take care!

It's the AT version of the Soviet Mod.1939 85mm gun, widely used by the Red Army in WWII (and often dumped on Warsaw Pact armies and other friends of the USSR in the post-war years.) You can tell it from the AA version by the shields. The Wehrmacht captured quite many of these guns in the early stages of Barbarossa and often used them to re-equip 88 units. The T34-85 gun was derived from this weapon.

From that comment I am guessing it would be worth the gas to go back up there and get more pics of it. At $4 a gallon for gas I hope I am reading you right.
