Hi men, it took me 2 months to build my Legend Nagmachon (early version or bird cage). Now it's ready for painting.
It's a stunning kit, even if the instructions could be better, but this is from Legend style.
I don't like to build models OOB and even if this is a detailed kit, I tried to add my modifications and improvements (I hope).
So you can see now several pics of some building's steps (all together).
My modifications were about wheels, left mudflap, tracks, first left side armour protection, right exhaust, left side hull ERA, left side footboard and FN MAGs.
Thanks in advance for your comments.
Cheers.

These are my last pics: I made some little modifications, cutting off one of the 2 lights for each side, as early Nagmachon have.
And before giving primer I added two eyelets (is this the right term?) for each side, as Legend Nagmachon miss them.

Cheers.

I'm still waiting for some aftermarkets to continue my Merkava IV.
So having a stop with it, I decided to start again, after one whole year, with my Nagmachon.
I missed the pics of the early painting phases, so you can now look at it as it actually is.
Yesterday I could add Friulmodel tracks with their Blacken'it treatment and some oils effect: now I do really need to finish it. Definitely.

Hi Guido,
I am truely inspired. You are a master in not just building this model, but also presenting the building processes. You might consider putting together a book with what you've got here. Very very impressive. - Paul

Guido - that is just stunning! I love IDF stuff and that model is amongst the very best - probably THE best IDF model I have ever seen.

It inspires me to make the final push and finish off my Legends 1/35 6B GAL M60 conversion which is about 90% finished..

Well done mate!

question: what did you do to the wheels? what is that material? also, why not add it to all the road wheels?

Hi Matan.
Have a look to the first pictures of this thread, please: the wheels are from Legend, while the rubber rings are those ones I found inside the AFV Centurion box.
These are the photos I was inspired by:

A very damaged rubber looking, as you can see.

I've always loved its...terrific looking. It quite seems a Renaissance's Leonardo Da Vinci warmachine.
Thank you, Dave.

I'd been wondering about the lack of rubber tires on those roadwheels too, but the pictures explained it perfectly. Definitely a beautiful model!

Wonderful job. Your build has really inspired me.

How differcult was the kit to build? Would you recommend it to a beginner/intermediate?
