Here's a review of a Legend Headset, maybe not the one you're looking at but it should give some idea of quality.

Cheers Pat, I have checked those sets out they have some drawbacks but the price makes them attractive ,its just the pics of the 2 sets Ive seen are poor quality(they seem to be painted) and its hard to judge the quality.

I have 3 of these Legends head sets .... Germans 1, Germans 2 and bare heads ... and think they´re great value, considering these sets cost pretty much the same as a normal hornet set, with only 5 heads. Some very useful expressions .... I´d definately recommend them. Always great to have a variety of heads on hand, and these are good enough to keep most happy.
Legends resin is quite soft so be careful when cleaning them. One helmet looked to be very thin at the edge, so I painted mr. Surfacer over the weak part just to make sure there was no hole, and sanded it back .... not noticeable after painting. The three heads below are from one the sets mentioned above.

I find them to be of poor quality for resin figures. The edge of helmet and caps are extremly thin - almost like flash, and some of them have holes. You cannot use them without some repair which is unacceptable in replacement resin parts IMHO

I agree with Jan- you get what you pay for. I too thought that I would try them for the price, but the headset I purchased had very soft detail as far as resin goes. Compared with Hornet side by side, well there IS no comparison!

Ive just been trolling the net and came across two head sets from legend productions LF0040 and LF0041 German Heads and US heads each containing 8 heads with 5 seperate helmets.
Let me clear this up before we go any further. Legend do three headsets -
LF0111 Heads set:
LF0112 German Heads set #2:
LF0113 - German Heads set #3
They do two VERY early headsets - one U.S. & one German. The three sets listed above are recent releases and not, IMO, to be compared with the earlier sets. I've got all three of the (recent) sets and while they aren't as good as Hornet, they're pretty good neveretheless. Hornet, IMO, are extremely expensive.
There are a number of issues with them - some of the figures are moulded with the sprue attached to the top of the head which does make clean up and removal a delicate process. The visors of the caps are a little thin, which do require care also - they AREN'T as thin as carrier film though.
Quality isn't poor at all, I discovered NO holes, or no damage whatsoever - they are, IMO, excellent and paint up very well indeed. I've been using them with, MiniArt, DML and Masterbox figure sets with good results.

Well, I disagree.
I have both the german #2 and #3 and especially the #3 with the officers are of very poor quality. I actually had the first set replaced free of charge from Lucky Model because they where full of holes in the officers caps shades due to extremly thin layer of resin. The second set was better - but still had thin casting, some holes and even sink holes in the necks. I have seen plastic molding better than the Legend heads, sorry to say. Other stuff from Legend, like the stowage sets etc., I like very much - but not the head sets.
