I know it's rediculous to ask, since there is only one (at time of writing) available in 35th, but how about a Churchill? Any variant would make me happy. Also A9, A10, A13.

Tamiya has announced they will release a "Tilly" in January 2009. The Tilly was a small utility vehicle that used a small saloon (sedan) as a base. These were widely used on Allied air bases to carry personnel and supplies. I don't know of there are any combat or near-combat applications.

Ken Swenson (on eBay as nekds) sells Kengi kits in resin, among them a superb Staghound a/car. I have seen this built up by Pat Johnston, and you can't tell it isn't the Bronco or Italeri 1/35 model.

I should have mentioned that Kengi also offers an M3 Lee medium tank, an M3 Grant British medium tank, a Cruiser Mk IVA (A13), an M5A1 light tank, and the M8 Howitzer Motor Carriage. The two M3s are major conversions for the Tamiya M4/M4A1 kit, but all the others are complete, including tracks and suspensions. The M3s come with the M3 bogies and resin track, T51 rubber block for the M3 Lee or the W210 waffle rubber block track for the M3 Grant. The tracks can be switched out if you wish. These are well detailed and easy to work, since there are no casting blocks - most of the parts are ready to clean up and use.

A resin Churchill is coming, probably in 2009. As mentioned, an A13 (Cruiser Mk IVA) is available now from Kengi. US halftracks are coming in resin also. Since no one knows what Tamiya will release, there are always risks in this for the small resin producers. I bought two 1/48 resin M8 Greyhound armored cars from Kengi, because it is better detailed than the Tamiya plastic kit. Obviously, since the Tamiya M8 a/car release, Ken no longer sells his Greyhound kit. His kits run about $33 each, but he sells on auction, so some may end up a bit more. They are worth it in my opinion. His Staghound is stunning when built up.

I forgot to mention that Kengi also offers a fine M3 Stuart ("Honey") from North Africa, and an LVT landing craft with the 37mm turret. For those who are not afraid of resin, there are over 200 kits and conversions available now in 1/48 armor.

I would like a buildout of the WWII stuff before moving to modern.
In rank priority;
1. US halftracks M2/M3 (which would enable cottage guys to build conversions)
2. M7 Priest (and the Sexton too) (including early single roller models)
3. Stuart (both Brit and American) - All the Gaso.line kits appear to be gone - and please open hatch on the top turret.
3. Lee / Grant
4. Humbler Staff cars (all variants)
By the way, I've been searching for these Kengi kits on ebay, but "no joy". Even googling turns up no results, so I thought they were out of business!

The problem with Kengi kits is that he sells on eBay, and you have to catch his auctions. I've looked for his kits when they were on eBay, and they can't find him in their search function, so take their word with a big grain of salt. I don't know why so many modelers won't try resin - if you use CA glue to assemble all models as I do, there's no difference between the two materials. With the resin kits, there are over 150 subjects you can make in 1/48. I know the resin kits are usually more expensive, but they are available. Kengi's kit line includes a half dozen models that have been mentioned in this wish list thread; they are available right now. In a lot of cases you can even use existing PE sets to detail them.

Maybe he should try a different way to sell his kits. After a couple of nasty problems with a seller I don't do e-Bay anymore. How am I supposed to buy his kits?

Kenji kits are actually made by Ken Swenson, who has been a film modeler and special miniatures expert in Hollywood for decades. Kenji kits are a part-time activity as far as I know, so I don't know if he wants to expand into a full-time business. Steve Faxon is in the same position with his resin conversions/corrections in 1/48. They both sell kits and have a presence in 1/48 armor modeling, but they are not full-time kit manufacturers like Hauler or GasoLine. I have acquired just about all of Ken's stuff, and with some modeling skills you can turn out some very nice models. I've seen the M5A1 Stuart and T17E1 Staghound built up, and they both are great models. Ken's M8 Greyhound armored car is better detailed than the Tamiya kit, but is out of production due to the plastic kit. Such is life.....

i for one would like to see the t-44 in injection plastic i know accurate armor does one but i like so many of us is confined to a budget especially during this global economic crisis, i also know that the t-44 didn't have a long service life but still i'd love to see it after all we've seen numerous paper panzers come out from Trumpeter (hint hint)
p.s. would love to see trumpeter take a stab at an all new B-17 in 1/48 especially after seeing their condor and C-47 just a thought.
