Dave O'Meara reviews LionRoars' photoetched "Round Screws" and "Hex Heads" which is a simple and effective way to add rivets, and hex heads to your models.

I'd suggest CA, but for flat surfaces, a drop of Future, or clear varnish should be strong enough to hold them in place.
