Well I placed the order for the dedicated server today. I am hopeful that this will be a big help for making the site faster and more robust (although it hasn't been behaving half-bad lately....good site ::pat-pat:: ).

As I stated in a prior post I will be taking some time to do this changeover and will be doing some load testing and other tests to make sure this is a smart move. Our current shared plan with Interland is certainly no slouch in the world of hosting packages, so it will be important to see if this is really an "upgrade". Otherwise we might as well stay put.

I will keep everyone in the loop. The new site will likely be accessable in a week or so by visiting http://www.wanderingknights.net

My deepest thanks to everyone who helped contribute money for this new server. As I also noted in a past post this new plan with a recently aquired company by Interland will be much cheaper (in terms of an inital setup fee), and I will endeavor to use the leftover funds to make the site better (contests, new software, etc.). So stay tuned. Exciting things are on the horizon.
