Hi Guys,

Anyone built the Revell Crusader Mk III? Wondered what sort of kit is was, how accurate etc?

I have the old Italeri/Testors kit but want to use it for the Crusader Gun Tractor.

Cheers

Same kit as the Italeri if memory serves, complete with the funky mudguards modelled after a preserved one in the US.

Only the price (in the UK at least) is different, the Revell issue costing more than any of the Italeri kits (or it did last time I checked).

Alan,

There's not much left when you use Accurate Armour's crusader gun tractor set.

The only real issue is the track .After market track is the way to go for this model .
Fruil do a very nicely set if you want to pay the $$$

Hi Al

Size-wise the Italeri (et al.) Crusader is good, it's only the details that let it down. And most of these will be going when you hack away the upper hull to add the Gun Tractor bits. I did come up with a long list of tweaks when Martinnn asked about the kit a couple of months ago, so some creative searching might find them.

All the best

Hi Guys,

Thanks, Not concerned about the Gun Tractor the conversion set should take care of that but I was interested in the Crusader III as a possible buiild some time this year.

Thanks, price wise then I'll look for the cheapest.

Hi Al

This is the previous thread, which took a while to find, since it doesn't mention Crusader in the title

http://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/115463&page=1

The last couple of times I've been in Modelzone, they've had half-price Revell issues of the Crusader lying about. This puts it just under a tenner.

All the best
