HELLO
I posted some photos back in November of my first dio,Titled -my first DIORAMA "finished at last" . I shot the photos indoors and they turned out quite dark . Its strange, but im finding the photography harder than the modeling side of this great new hobby Well yesterday the sun was out and i decided to take some pics outside, Thanks for looking,,, Andy.

Very nice, Andy. Might I suggest some low shrubs or bushes along the base of the wall? Looks a bit too neat right now. That, and maybe some moss on the wall and the grave stones.

Its a very nice first diorama, the only little thing is that i think there is too much rust on the tank.
Overall good work

Very nicely done, Andy. Nice figures scooting along and the one GI peering through the gate. Some nice details on the wall and headstones and groundwork (nice path into the cemetery). The Sherman is very good, but a bit of weathering on the stowage as those things kicked up lots of dust and dirt and such. Perhaps a stray jerry can or abandoned German weaponry and as another mentioned, some low brush by the fence baseline. Great stuff otherwise. I really like the figures, are those converted?

Hi Andy. For a first dio, you should be very pleased. Nice action scene, clear story and everything looks good. A lot of details .. with scenery, armor, figures, water, etched ivy, etc. Personally, I wouldn´t change anything ... but use the tips and advise you get, and incorporate them into your next dio.

THANKS FOR COMMENTS GUYS
Im leaving this dio as finished, although theres plenty of room for improvement .
I agree with all your comments & sugestions

David - shrubs & moss would make a great improvment

garnik - yes, too much rust - so easy to get carried away with adding rust

Mike - not sure what converted figures are

Frank - you got it spot on , I am leaving as it is , ive learned from my mistakes and had plenty of sugestions for ways to improve which will help with my second dio

Thanks again to all - who have helped in various ways with my first dio

,,, Andy

Sorry about this, I am very new to dioramas, and at the moment I'm simply having a good look round, then I obviously came across your diorama, the tank and gates look like metal, the mud between the grass I thought was stunning (is it real ?) I originally came onto this site to find out about water effect, a warship moving through the sea sort of thing. Slowly I am being side-tracked by these quite simply fantastic dioramas that I actually forget what I was searching for in the first place. First class work in book.

What I would like to know is what did you use for the fence? It looks fantastic! So does the rest of the scene, you did a great job with the groundwork in particular. Nice first try!

Hi Andy,

That is really great work for you're first dio, excellent stuff. I really like you wet looking grass, ground work is excellent, what materials did you use? The tree in the water is a nice touch, I would vary the colour of the headstones a bit, but this is very effective

Well done you
