It's a very nice build, gartulation! As for the interior, it does not worth to upgrade further than the kit, because if you decide to enhance it, you almost have to make a new one from scratch - the kit is nice but not correct. I like the wethering very much, only one thing: as far as I know the idler wheels had no rubber on them, they were plain steel ones. One more minor suggestion: you should make the support rods for the open front hatches (those are not depicted in the instruction sheet for the Eduard M3A1 Exterior), without them they won't remain open. See the linked picture for reference:

Halaci, thank you for your helping hand. And thank you for the photo too, very clear shot of the hatches ! I have a pic of them but not as good as this one. I'll add the rods later cause I'm afraid to ruin the rods while weathering the tank. The idler wheels are not done yet, this is just a base color, the metal look still needs to be painted on. About the interior, it's correct what you said, but I'm happy with it straight from the box. G.

Back with one photo. I chipped what still had to be done, finished the spilled oil and fuel, painted a rusty effect under two tie downs of the fuel gallons.

I'll be back soon with more. Thanks for your attention ! G.

Hello guys, I started working on the tracks, used the rubber ones of the kit, because they have -my opinion- great detail).

Hi Guy,
Outstanding work, this is coming along a treat, love the work you've done to date.
As I said before, going to be a gem.
Yip, not sure why the kits not modeled more, it's a cool vehicle and the USA version looks great wih the markings.
Way to go

Hello friends, new update :
After the oil washes now it's time to pick up the pigments. I made a start with the front section of the lower hull. This was also something completely new to me for this Stuart is my first desert project ever.
To give it a minimum of structure, I mixed beach sand, light dust, Europe dust and dry mud, plaster and acrylic resin. First a quite dark toned thin layer, then a lighter one. When dry and hardened, I brushed on dry pigments. Adhered them using white spirit (capillarity).
This is the result of it :

For the colors and the thickness of the dust layers (as I said, this is new to me) I used this reference pic :

Detail of the front of the upper hull :

I also opened a topic in "Painting forum" because I needed confirmation about the tones of the desert dust. Appearently I've had luck and people like it
And I hope you like it too, but if you think I can do things better, please tell me !
Tx for attention friends !
Today's a rainy day so...pigment attack !

Hi Guy,
Really excellent build up on the paint work, as I said before a real gem. Your patience and work are really paying off well.
1st class.

I have watched this build for awhile, and it is one of the best works I have seen in some time. Your techniques for weathering and painting are very, very good. There is no indication that this is a plastic kit. You want to believe it is metal. A very Hi quality job on a small kit.

A superb build Guy
The dust in the crevices rings true for a desert tank for sure.
For such a little tank you'd expect your close up shots to reveal flaws, but nothing. Nothing!
Great stuff my friend

Thanks guys, your encouraging words mean a lot to me. I'm very happy that many people like my topic and visit it regularly ! Without this forum modeling wouldn't be so much fun.
Sharing experience is most important for it makes the skills growing.
I still had to do paint on the yellow mask of the cannon (decals are provided in the box).
Revell's yellow was perfect and the burnt umber wash makes de structure of the armor stand out beautiful, good job Academy !
Things have to be done, but this is how far I am now :

Bye and thanks again for attention ! G.

Hello friends, here's a small new update of my Stuart build.
Not yet finished, but here's a start of the section I'm currently working on :

The right side of the tank is pigmented now :

Next update is .30, towing cable, the back of the tank.
Hope you still enjoy the ride ? G.

Hi Bob, thanks again for visiting my thread, I appreciate this man. I have a couple of hours today to battle on, I hope there will be progress later this day. And feel free to take a ride with it if you're small enough. G.
