Hi Robert
Sorry, have missed this thread for a while. it's really come on well and all I can really say is please keep it coming its brilliant. Although, you could try putting a small amount of filler in the gaps between the parts of the figures, dont know how noticeable they are though in real life, might be a bit late now you've started painting anyway, I dont want to detract from all the praise as this really is an awesome looking dio, way better than the stuff I've produced!! Thinking to remove germans with r75 from this dio. There's two setup's I'm planning but not sure wich one is better. 1: vehicle on the bridge and one sas member climbing down the slope to reach container with supplies and 2nd: vehicle under the bridge , two sas on the bridge , one trying to gather parachute and hide it.. Any advice ????

Personally, I like the jeep under the bridge with the guys trying to recover the parachute.
Are you planning on weathering the figures more?
Bill.

Hi Robert
I prefer the jeep under the bridge. However, my only thing is that there will be quite a large amount of empty space in this one on top of the bridge. What about having the r75 (?) abandoned on the bridge with a flat tyre or something. Just a suggestion, not sure if it would work or not. HTH. Nick

Hey there Robert,
I think the parachute looks quite good. One possible problem is that the material used for real parachutes was more of a silky, nylon kind of material (at least they were in the 1980's not sure about the 1940's.) It would appear smoother, what you have now has a kind of canvas look to it.
Having said that...I wouldn't worry about it! I think what you have now looks fine, I was only trying to point out what a "rivet counter" type might point out.
And Nick does make a good point, if the jeep is under the bridge is does leave a good bit of "dead" space on the road. (I still think that is the better option)
His idea with the R75 is good. I think another option might be an old, or broken down, farmers cart half on/half off the road. Or even a fallen tree.
You're making good progress keep it up.
Bill.

While waiting for some accessories to arrive from USA I've done some work with foliage, added some grass and shrubs. I think it's better now, before it was looking to clean like somebody was taking care of river banks.
