Robert,
That looks really good dude. The placement of the trees perfectly frames the jeep and that open spot on the bridge.
As far as how to continue...tall grass is always good. Maybe take it from the bottom of the slope to within a centimeter or two of the water and of course on top of the slope next to the road. Use some material for some bushes on the slopes and maybe some kind of vine type of foliage.
It actually looks like you have it well under control. Keep it up.
Bill.

Here's a few pics , some grass has been added on the slopes. Continuing with some bushes and repairing the road (adding few stone plates on road and some grass). Trees has been removed just to have more space for work on slopes (they will come back). Some sand added around stream.
Cheers

I'm glad You like it Preston ,
about trees : these are made from wire, instead to cover all wire with plaster I have use strips of gauze (bandage) soak with mix of white glue and tile glue. Strips of gauze was wraped around wire and let to dry. Everything was sprayed with car primer and acryl car paints . I didn't cover thinest wires with gauze just paint them with primer and acryl paint. When gauze is dried you can form wire in any position without being afraid that it will break like it will if you cover it with plaster. For foliage I have used birch seed for first tree and cumin (caraway) for second, and that is all.
Cheers

Being out of inspiration with groundwork and trees I've started to prepare some figures. German patrol on BMW R75 is still to come on bridge... One tree was replace with new one, some long grass will be added later around roadside and trees.
Cheers

A little suggestion to an otherwise interesting and promising diorama:
A little colour variation on the lower half of the stone bridge to show the effects of the rising water level. (i.e a greeny brown tinge).
Keep going and good luck,
Chas

Great looking dio Robert,
The placement of the figures is great and the german motorbike will really add to the drama.
The only point I have is the trees would grow straight up even when growing on a slope, unless some force of nature or some other force have had some effect on them of course. I noticed this as soon as I looked at your first pic.
Needless to say I will continue to follow with interest and look forward to your next update.
Neil

Thanks on comments ,
Chas: nice tip, I almost overlook that
Neil: yes , on first pictures trees are positioned wrong but if You look at last one You will see that trees are going straigt up, there was constructive dispute on croatian forum about that isue after first pictures posted there and we also came to that conlusion You have explaind.
Cheers

Robert,
It's coming along nicely! Which direction will the motorcycle be traveling, from left to right or right to left? I ask because the figures to the left of the dio are kind of in an exposed position.
Maybe if you switched the bush on the right slope, the big bushy one, with the bush on the left slope, that would provide more concealment for the figure.
Other than that it looks good at this point. The trees, the other foliage and the creek bed looks good and I really like how the road came out.

Hi Bill,
well "big bush" on the right is actually a little tree and I'm thinking to make one for the left side to conceal figure . Another thing I was planning is to put some Ivy around big tree on the left. Direction of german bike would be from right to left and I'm working on it right now. Few days before I've had problem with base - starts to warp but I manage to save the day - glue everything to mdf board and screw from the botom. I have some pictures of road over stone bridge and thinking to alter it like that.
Here's a pic.
Thanks on comment
Cheers

Robert,
Cool pic of the road and stone bridge, that is now in my reference photos. Are you thinking of making your road into a stone road like in the pic? or are you just going to add some vegetation along the road? or both?
And...hey, clean up that flash on the shock absorber on the front fork!

That is one good (or perhaps bad) thing about those close up pics, flaws you can't see or overlook when you're looking at the model everyday suddenly become apparent. And BTW, I think the color is fine.
I'm enjoying following this build it's really coming along well.
I'm going to post some progress on my dio next week in the "On the Eastern Front" campaign. You can "shoot back" at me then.

Thanx again on Your comment Bill, it seems that beside You only few people are interested in this project so every advice from You is wellcomed. About road over bridge: I will try to replicate that from pic but with less grass on it. I'm thinking to paint next layer of R75 bike in dunkelgelb color so when some scatches are aplied tank grey will show under it. Some people told me that dunkelgelb was color of german vehicles after 1943 but i could not find any ref pics.
Well I'm looking forward to see Your work (have seen some of Your pic in your gallery and I think Your work is excellent )
Cheers

He Robert,
I would have chosen to keep it as it was. I think it wasn't that bad at all. But now you start all over again, I'm looking forward to see the new result. I found some nice reference pics of a BMW R75 in dunkelgelb. It is a walk-around of a (restored?) vehicle. I'm currently working on one too. I've you like to have those reference pics, please feel free to PM your email address.

Hey Robert!
I missed some of your posts somehow. The bike looks really good! When scrolling through the pictures I was not too sure that I liked the engine, it looked too silver...but it came out really nice.
You do good work, keep it up. It looks like this may be a real winner.
