Hi guys
Recently stumbled onto this tank sitting next to the highway at a restuarant.
No identification and no-one there seems to know what it is.Can anybody maybe ID this tank.Help would be appreciated!

Since it has the 2pdr gun turret and no auxiliary machine gun turret beside the driver, it's probably a Crusader Mk.II. However it could also be a Mk.I with a missing machine gun turret.

It's a Crusader MkII, the ID feature is the narrow rim around the vision port in the gunner's side of the turret front indicating it has thicker armour than the Mark I. Both Is and IIs had auxiliary turrets so that's not a reliable method of telling them apart.

From this page here you can download a provisional list of preserved tanks in South Africa, at one time thare were a couple of dozen Crusaders scattered about the country
