Well here it is, my very first scratchbuild *sniff*.

It is the side add-on metal baskets (for lack of a better term) that seem to be on many of the current 3rd ID's M2A2's. Basic construction with Evergreen strips/angles/channels/sheet, I know that it's not exactly straight, gonna work on that when I try the other side.

Please be gentle...

PS: (I tried vewy, vewy hard to get the pictures to load, but alas, to no avail, so if you are interested you will have to "copy and paste" the URL. Sorry still trying!!!!!)

PPS: I think I may have used up all my updates, as know all I get is the yellow triangle with the "Done but errors on page" message, man sometimes that Bill Gates guy gets me down... or maybe I'm just a dufus...

I've got no idea if dimensions or things like these are ok, but the scratchbuilt part is very well done, really. Keep on going like this Chris.

Looks good to me -nice first piece. Detailed enough to get you challenged and straight forward enough not to discourage you.

Good job it will add a lot to the kit.

From what I see, nice neat job. I'd like details---where did you see this on a BFV? The size and dimension of the strips you used.
thanks

It looks great Chris. I wouldn't worry about any perceived imperfections. I assume this will be on a "working" model and rarely are prototypes seen absolutely perfect after some time in the field.

Thanks for all the many kind words, for being a pretty simple build, I am quite proud of it.

Here are the dimensions and parts list:

1) Evergreen Streyne Strip .25x1.0mm (cross members) E102
2) Plastruct Streyne Channels .16mm (Anchor points and front Supports) P90531
3) Plastruct Streyne Angles 1.2mm (Top and Bottom Front, and Top Side Supports) P90501
4) I couldn't find any pictures of the floor, so I made it with Evergreen sheet streyne, I don't know which one, it was some very thin stuff that I had lying around.

The dimensions are:

2cm high by 8cm long and 2cm wide

I also added some more pictures to my Yahoo account of some more work that I have done to my Bradley, mostly the front Headlight area (which I am still working on) and the rear Tail-light area (which still need work, but I maybe done with it!).

Also, I added the IFF panels on the rear with Evergreen "Clapboard Siding" #4101, this will give me the 6 "slats". I think that it might be a bit small, but works for me. Also (whew) as a side note, I have the Legend IFF panels that came with their M1 accessory kit, and they are tiny compared to the photos that I have seen. So it looks like I will have to make my own.

I think I worked out the dimensions to scale. Roughly 1.7cm/.67" by 2.1cm/.83", and the "slats" should be about .11" each (x6) (I think, hope!).

Wow, I talk a lot!

-Chris

Thank you for the listing of materal. Your work will make it a bit simpler to do. I've got the same kit on the way.So I have a whole lot of good stuff to do to it to get close to the great job you are doing.
