Thanks, Jim. It's a nice little kit and I had fun researching it with the restoration guys.

I need to get a couple kits off the bench before I start another one, but this one is in the que.

I couldn't resist diving into one if I had it!

I'm not sure where I'll get the best deal for one - or two, three...

Can't have just one!

That is a great looking kit of an awesome little truck. I'll have to keep my eyes open for one of these too.

Nice review Bob, I really enjoyed the show and tell you did with the kit at our last meeting as well as the history on the actual vehicle.

Back in the 80s when I was in the Canadian Militia some of our people used to refer to 151s as the disposable jeep made by the US for the Vietnam war and I was always doubtful that was true and it was filed away in my head until you talked about this vehicle and now I realize there was a throwaway 1/4 ton it just wasn't the one they thought.

Again nice review. Very complete. Look forward to seeing you build this one.

Yeah, yeah. That hat was retired at least five years ago. I go through about two a year. I'm going back to Lambeau this weekend to get a new one.

BTW, I know you went back to Hobby Haven to get that engineer hat so you can wear it when you make the choo-choo go.

Bob---how did you know I wear an engineers' hat everyday at work?
Now I'll have to have my photo taken at work to prove it!

That's cool, Dave (but don't tell Tom). I used to wear one back in the early 80s when I went out carousing. Never seemed to have any effect the ladies, but I was easy to find in a crowd. (and it was better than most of the other stupid crap people wore back in those days ... and it matched my striped painter pants)

BTW, Tom really does drive a choo-choo, 1:1 scale.
