Errrrrrrrrr That's a tough one hmmm let me see now three favourites right?

Well to be perfectly honest I still heven't built my three favourites. I keep hoping the next one shall be it, but I suppose I'm an eternally unsatisfied perfectionist. My favourite up until tonight are: (they open the envelope, and a sigh sweeps over the crowd)

1. Modified M49A2C Fuel tanker
2. Precision models 15cm Schwere feldhaubitze, done as an obice 149/38 Italian version.
3. Accurate Armours Faun Transporter.
4. DML's Shilka
5. Academy M51
6. The Tank Workshops M123 W/ the DEs M15A1 Trailer
Yeah I know only 3 but I just couldn't decide!! :-) :-) :-)

Married Seven years on 20 April, and we have a Sixteen year-old together. I always thought people were crazy when they said it but "when it's right, you'll Know it" really is true!!!
My favorites would be:
1- DML OH-6A LOACH ( very enjoyable)2- AFV Club M88 ARV "VietNam" w/ MR Models Interior ( challenging/ rewarding)
3- AFV Club LVTP5 (my first military kit in ten years)
4- MRC UH-1C Gunship
5- Tamiya PBR
6- Revell/Monagram C-5 covette (sorry guy's)
7-MRC AH-1W Cobra
8- ???????
I guess that's it ( for now)

Most likely get my butt chewed on this but as I am a Lt I can handle it. I think it would be
Tamiya tiger one from the 70's when it first came out and was the only kit to get
second would be Tamiya 88mm I know not tank but good kit back in the day and still is for the money.
Third would be the old 7 ton track from tamiya Couldn't wait to spend my lawn cutting money on that back then I think it was around 15.00 a lot of bucks in 1974.

LT Sgtreef - I have the "old" Tamiya Tiger 1, one of the first 1/35 armor kits I ever built. Still have it, needs some repair though.

Other top kits that I have completed are:
- ICM T35
- ICM T28

They draw some comments

Actually YodaMan - marriage is the greatest! At least that's been my experience.

My wife and I have been together going on nine years now, and it only keeps getting better. She's my best bud too - so there's a lot more than the "husband & wife thing" between us. I know her like a book (cough, cough, gurggle, gurggle) and I'm sure she'd say the same thing. Thoughts pass between us without words being spoken - so I [b]know
what she's thinking when she catches a new model or something coming through the door. I don't even try to hide it - and that's the fun of it.

One thing we practice successfully is not telling each other "NO". Acting as adults (insert more coughing here) we know what we can and cannot spend on bills and entertainment. I bellyache and tease her when she wants the latest crafty-stickery-stampy-thingy - and she boxes my ears about my latest model selection - she will choose something else for me sometimes - but it's all in fun. She gets what she wants, and so do I, even if it takes a little while.

After all these years together, I do have virtually all that I wanted, so the urge isn't there to raid the hobby shop every week like I did when I was single. Marriage and the partnership got me to that stage, and I don't toss out anywhere near the money I did when single. Marriage teaches temperance, I suppose, along with patience.

With the right YodaLady - you'll be juuuuust fine...

I have ben modelling for 12 years and since then I can tell that among models I really enjoyed during their build were:

1. Tamiya Panther G late version
2. Academy M-18 Hellcat
3. Tamiya steel wheeled Tiger I (I know it is not a perfect piece of a kit, but in early nineties it was!)
4. Tamiya Dragon Wagon (yeah, yeah, it's in progress, but it's really fun for me to build it)
5. So will be building the Tamiya Famo with trailer.

I'm sure there were many models fun to build more or less in part during my modelling career.

Cheers,

I think I speak for all of us when I say: "Groooaaaannn,,,,!".

You are a strange man to think of that...I respect that, but you are nonetheless strange. (Good pun anyway...I hope this doesn't start a trend!)

As to my humble choice's.....hmmmm.
(In no particular order of preference)

#1 Wallace & Grommit on the motorbike and sidecar. (one of my favourite cartoons)
#2 'Fantastic Voyage's' Proteus. (starring one of my favourite sex symbols)
#3 The 'LandMaster' from the film Damnation Alley. (yeah I know, it doesn't exist........yet)

Oooops.....forgot, armour right?

#1 Renwal's? Atomic Cannon. (an oldie but a goodie, large scale and unusual)
#2 Academy's new Tiger 1 kit (my present favourite, better than the Tamiya offerings IMHO)
#3 Anything by Accurate Armour (yeah, I know, a bit of a cheat in regards to making a choice)

Tread.

The above is just my present state of mind, give me about a month and the whole list could change

While more of a figure builder I do a fair share of armor as well... my tastes are simple - i look for a well designed kit with accurate fit, nice instructions that clearly denote "what goes where" and then for overall accuracy. If a certain model is 1/19th inch off in scale, or has the 1943 "summer - italy" tread instead of the 1942 Late fall-France" tread, I don't really care that much one way or the other. So with that in mind - my favorite builds were:

M3 Lee - Tamiya
Panzer IV - Italeri
T-34/76 - Tamiya

I also have a good stash in waiting, including the M5, Tiger I (Early), Stug IV, and SturmTiger... all look like nicely made kits... time will tell!

My Favourite Kits are
Italeri Leopard 1 A4 (only I haven't built a 1A4 just about every other version though)
Academy M113 (now that the Deihl track is out I want to build about 20 different versions)
Tamiya Leopard II (not Canadian but it came close)
