Nice paintjob. Just wondering how long it took to do the masking for it. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing the pictures, gives us less tallented ones something to aim for.

Jeff,
Your S-Tank looks really good! Did you use any AM on it? I really like your paint job. I hope that mine comes out as nice (whenever I get around to building it that is #:-) ).

Nice job. I like the overall paint scheme. Nicely done.
Is that 1/72 scale?
Just one thing - ejector pin marks on the spare tracks. I know they're a real pain to get rid of and they're a small point. If it's 1/72 - man I'd hate to have to worry about ejector pins in that scale.

Thanks for the comments!!!
Brandy - The masking job honestly wasn't that bad. I did one color a day for 4 days. I used dark green for the base, then added light green splinters, then brown, then I finished off with black. I used masking tape for borders.
Adam - This is the Trumpeter kit OOTB. It figures that right after I finished it Eduard would offer a PE set for it....oh well, I'll just soup up the next one then.
Scott - This is 1/35 scale from Trumpeter. I thought I totally removed those pin marks (believe it or not they were worse), but apparently not. Of course I didn't realize this until after everything was done and I cranked the macro mode on my camera up.

Jeff - don't sweat it about the pin marks. I totally understand if they are really bad you did a good job with them to get them to there.
If they don't distract from the presentation or for you - you're good to go.

Fabio - It is not for the Cold War Campaign. I finished building this model a while back, but just got around to painting it a little while ago. For the Cold War Campaign I am going to do a T-55A.

Jeff,
Here's two of your kits I'm commenting on in a row.
Nice work!
I've got mine built up, but not even basecoated yet.
you're a modeling madman.. and that's a compliment! around these parts...
Tell us some more about the masking and which colors (company , paint number, mixing info) you used please.

For the paints I used a basecoat of Deep Green (Tamiya XF-26). For the brown splinters I used Flat Earth (Tamiya XF-52), the black splinters were Flat Black (Tamiya XF-1) and the light green splinters were Goblin Green by Games Workshop (they make the paints used for Warhammer 40k and are available at many comic book/gaming stores.
In terms of technique, I put down a base coat of Deep Green. I then used masking tape to sector off areas I was going to paint. I painted the colors in the following order; Deep Green, Goblin Green, Flat Earth, and finally Flat Black. Any questions you may have, feel free to ask and I'll answer them.

Well its nice that an old swedish buggar like that has gotten so much attention lately. The lines between the colors look great, if you want my comment the only thing I think you can improve is to make the colors more dark and so the light green doesnt show itself as most, otherwise its very good
