Thanks!
I'm waiting for the plow so...I jumped to painting some stowage.

The .50 cal ammo boxes really suck.I'll have to get new PE.

Looking pretty good. The sand looks a little thick to me, but may be ok once painted. Are the helmets painted? They should be in DCU camo pattern, they look just sand now. The rest of the gear looks great. Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

Thanks! The dirt and sand look ok now.
The helmets aren't fully painted.I just didn't have the mood for this. But I'll fix them soon.
As for the bags and 80% of the gear, it will be replaced with new ones.I wasn't satisfied with how they turned out.

Tomapaul. Your build is looking very nice. How did you get your bore evacuator to stay over the barrel? I couldn't get minde to stay.

I used gel superglue on my M1A2 SEP, I smeared a little on the barrel itself, and some more inside the bore evacuator, then carefully slid it over the barrel and taped it in place until I was sure it was dry.

Love the soot around the hatches, etc. Is that pigment or a wash?

Great job, how did you do that weathering process of getting so dark then removing most of if? Thanks for sharing this one.

In the chronologic order:
1.Tamiya buff
2.Gloss coat
3.Black matt(email)
4.Removed most black matt with cloth dipped in thinner
5.I applied the true color(vallejo sand 075)

It's like a pre-shading, but it's more like a mid-shading.

More pictures.I modified the frontal turret CIP pannels. The dragon's cip pannels aren't accurate.

What did you perceive as "not accurate" about the Dragon CIPs? They are correct.

The CIPs are flatt. The green stripes are just painted on.
I used the dragon's cips and then painted them.Cut the green stripes off a different CIP and glued to the new CIP.Gloss coat and then applied the black decal.

OK, that is really unnecessary though. The green "L"s are velcro strips for reversing/attaching the panel. They are only as thick as a couple pieces of paper. In 1/35 scale, the velcro would appear flat. Yours now looks like it is about an inch thich to stick up that mucn in 1/35. The original Dragon ones look more accurate if you ask me.

Hmm...I will have to disagree.
It looks just about right to me(not perfect, but better).

O.K., maybe not an actual inch, but it still looks too thick to me. I still think the original looks better. As long as you are happy with it, thats what counts. To each their own. Just giving some constructive feedback.

Can i have a question. Did 'All Bout The Bones' have the air cleaner box on the back of the turret in the bustle rack? I have the same pictures from this vehicle and still can not make my piont.
Another thing is, that you should compare the decal located on the front of the hull (QTA 007 A 9049 ARM BN) Two characters are mixed up! Ithink this need to be corrected if you are making this specific vehicle.
Although i like your work and that pre/mid shading effect works great on this light camuflage. I'm also building this kit (specifically the same vehicle ) and it is almost ready for painting. Just some tuchups here and there.

It is actually an Axilliary Power Unit (APU, i.e. a generator). Some pics show this tank w/it, and in some it is missing. I think they started with it and removed it when the APU broke down, a common occurance, to make room for more gear. So either way is correct.
