Below you can find some pics of my latest model
It represents an armed Jeep of the Hellenic Sacred Squadron ("Ieros Lochos")
that served in North Africa besides the British SAS during WW 2.
It's based on Tamiya's 1/48 Jeep (you know ...the "utility truck" without a name in the box, of the US Infantry at rest ) with help from Hauler's SAS set, many Tamiya accessories and some scratch.
In the next days I'll post some more pics (with it's base completed)
I Hope you will enjoy it

This is great work, could have sworn it was 1/35 scale. And I like the work done on the base!
Thanks for sharing.

Great build! Nicely detailed, well done in such a relative small scale. Interesting subject too.

That is an excellent exercise in detail for a 1/48 kit. I'm impressed. Thanks for sharing

Wow! Amazing work, particularly given the scale.
Like Dave, I'd never heard of this unit (they must really be covert ). is there anything in particular that denotes this Jeep as belonging to the unit?

Thank you all for your very warm comments.
“Ieros Lochos” (= Sacred Company - and not Squadron), was actually one of the very first “Joint” Special Forces of Greece, where men from Hellenic Army, Air Force and Navy, served in North Africa under one command, against the Nazis, along with the British S.A.S.
“Ieros Lochos” used about 25 to 32 modified Willy’s MB Jeeps, similar to the ones that were used by the S.A.S.. Most of the Greek Jeeps were armed with 3 single Vickers K’s, only the first 3 had 2 twin Vickers K's and at least one had a heavy .50cal for the co-driver.
As usual, they were festooned with fuel, ammo, water and food supplies for their long range raid missions.
Below you can see some links (or google "greek sacred company", "greek ieros lochos" etc.)
