The odd camo on the gun is kinda a what if/ could be. What if one gun had a damaged wheel and another gun had a damaged everything else? What if the crew of a panzer grey Pak 40 found a bit of green and tan paint? It seems that somewhere I have seen both. Like the camo on my Tiger. I knew I had seen it before, yesterday I saw a pic (on here) of a Pz III with that camo 'pattern'.
.

Soldiers in the field would get very creative when it came to painting their equipment. If even a remnant of a can of paint turned up and they could put it to use they would. The gun shield look just like the crew took what they could to give them any advantage they could. Good job!

Great groundwork and I like the gunshield cammo a lot. Two things stick out to me though. Might be my monitor but the gun gray looks pretty blue-ish. Can't go wrong with dark,as in almost charcoal gray. Second thing is the wheels-they need to be gray too.
cheers for tank busters!

Blake, thanks! That's what I was thinking!

Rick, the gun is panzer grey. I think it's just the pic quality that makes it look blueish; it looks that way on my monitor too. The left wheel supposedly was taken from a wrecked Pak 40 when this Pak 40 was damaged (that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!).

Here it is. I'm not really happy with the figures, but I just don't have the knack for it anymore.
