Hi Jim Rae. Not sure whether you were serious or just busting on Tamiya....but those figures that are included in the Tamiya Staghound are not 1970s figures. They are the same set that was included with the second version of their Bren Carrier. I think that must have come out sometime in the early 00s. They actually aren't too bad as Tamiya figures go -- ceratinly much better than their 1970s offerings.

Hey Brian,
Tamiya's European Campaign Universal Carrier Mk. II, with the figures that have been included in their reboxed Italeri Staghound, was released in 1994 according to the date on the decals.
The original UC Mk. II was released way back in 1975.
You get the original 1975 release's figures in the European Campaign UC, they are definately of poorly quality compared to their 1994 kin.
It would be great if one of the major manufacturers came out with a brand new UC, it would probably be a big seller.
