Almost at the end of last night's Antiques Roadshow someone came on with some really superb large scale models of WW2 British lorries, including a Bedford QL 6pdr Portee. The owner of the models then proceeded to say that all AT guns were towed so the Portee model was fictional . Nearly destroyed the TV on the spot! All the other lorries looked like Bedfords to me.
Armorama members in the UK who didn't see it can catch up BBC iplayer if they dare..

There's a screen-filling closeup of the QL portee around the 49 minute mark, the item starts a bit before that.

Gotcha! 46 to 50 minute marks, url here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00f3lmr
I think the woman was erm... Bulls.. . guessing as to value & use....
I Think the portee looks more like a Karrier K5(?) which would be more consistent with a bedford factory, or does someone know better?
