Hi Guys,
A bit more work, added the 2 No 4 rifles to the front, also the left and right ammo stowage and antenna front and rear. Altered the rear stowage to fit a little.
John said he wanted more stowage so this one is for you John - a trial run at some additional internal stowage, may still use the 2nd figure if he turns out OK but will switch the head which is a bit po faced.
Just some picks, shovels, weater and petrol to consider!!!

Hi Guys,
A bit more work. With the kit you get one of these, a folded AA Bren stand
Not sure I've got the 100% correct, still a couple of tiny parts to add.
Point to note here is not to cut off the 2 tiny extensions on the curved bit, Part 7 as the poles Parts 9 fit on to these. You need to drill them out a bit.
Not sure if I will fit this part, it fits on to some small PE clamps that live above the rear engine deck, but I had already fitted a cable reel which is kinda in the way. Also I placed the rear LHS antenna mount further over towards the engine to help the fit of the alternative stowage.
Also bee working on the 2" mortar mount for the front fighting compartment. Again not 100% sure I've got thiscorrect but I think so. You get an open tubed mortar with the kit but I'll used a capped one as the vehicle will be stationary.

Ah well, posting to myself again!!
Hi Guys,
Just finished adding the decals, so one for the Canadian folks to check. Finish will be as a vehicle form C Squadron, The Lake Superior Regiment ( Motor Infantry Corps) 4th Canadian Armoured Division whom I believe had both T16s and towed anti tank guns!!
Once every thing has set I can get on with some weathering and stocking the wee bestie up. Still the 2nd sitting crewman to attempt, have to see how he turns out.
Bad light stops play on the picture front.

Hi John and James,
Thanks for looking in. Still a ways to go yet, lots of small stuff to do plus fit the fenders but it's a bit more carrier like now.
Cheers

Hi Guys,
A few slightly better pictures of progress. Need to decide whether or not to add the front and rear fenders and possibly a front stowage box. Crew and stores are almost done.

It looks good Al. I like it without the rear fenders. Any chance of a shot of it side by side with one of your universal carriers?

Hi Calvin and Pat,
Thanks guys.
Calvin, they are great fun.
Pat, will do when I've a bit more work completed, a size comparison would be good. I agree about the fenders, I was thnking of keeping them for a Mk II as I have seen pics of the Mk II with the early fenders on.
I need to look at some references to decide on what else to do on the front but it's getting there.
Cheers

Hey Al,
The carrier is looking better and better every time I drop by for a peek !!!
The Enfields with the canvas coverings on the magazines and bolt actions, are they part of the kit or did you add the "boots" ?
Cheers

Hi John,
Thanks. The rifles with boots come with the kit, another nice touch from Graham. Added a small amount of side mud this evening, still undecided about a bin on the front, haven't found a reference for them being carried that way on the T16s yet.
Cheers

Hey Al,
What kind of bin were you planning to use ??
I've seen several photos of Canadian carriers and other vehicles outfitted with discarded 25pdr and 75mm cases.
I'll look and try and find them for you.
Cheers

Hi John,
Thanks,
I was thinking of the long bin that sat on the rear of the Mk IIs?

Hey Al,
Do you mean like this one on the T16 here ? Maple Leaf Up T16's
Or the one on the Mk. II here ? Maple Leaf Up Mk. II's

Hi John,
The one on the Mk II. I have seen them moved to the front of the Mk IIs, but wasn't sure if the same practice was used on the T16s. It would be a reasonable field mod but, I can't see any evidence of it so far.

Hi Guys,
About time to bring this one to a close. I need to check the build instructions to make sure I haven't missed anything critical but this one is about done.
Will post the rest of the pics in the critque forum.

The towed 6pdr anti tank gun.
I know where parts 17 and 18 go but not how they fit. Any thoughts?
I also lost a small part to the drain monster so will have to sort that out.

Hi Guys,
The combination. Less a little mud on the 6pdr wheels this is about done.
Oh, and after all the footering about with the ammo stowage in the T16 guess what you get in the 6pdr box, yip, the correct stowage for the 6pdr towing version . Oh well just have to build another!!

Hey Al,
The 6pdr looks good, are you going to post additional photos ??
Just wish someone would do a new one in plastic........ hint, hint !!!
I'd like to see them do one with a choice of barrel lengths for the British Mk. I, II and IV and the American M1 with the L/50 barrel
Cheers
