I build one before. It was an italeri kit then. Since I think the measurement of the cab is very similar to the M2 halftrack so you can probably use the PEs intended for the M2. Also, Skybow came out with the Dodge Staff car of Gen. Patton so you can use the decals intended for it. It has the red banner with stars.

AFV makes one too that is a WC56 WC57 Patton Command Car I almost bought, I hate to buy a model just for the decals, so I think I'll just make my own. I really don't need anymore unbuilt models setting around you know.
I looked at the M2 PE set but I've already ordered to the other one (since it said it was in stock), just have to wait for them to locate it, since it would seem it wasn't in stock after all ... shocker I know.

Thanks for the info though.

Thanks for the info ... I'm about 100 miles from the Patton Museum I'm going to make a trip up there sometime soon since gas is cheap for the moment ... never thought I'd ever think $1.79 gas was cheap ... I've emailed and called them and they seem to busy to look anything up.

So far I've found two photo's and a few seconds of footage all from the same angle, I think the photos might be film stills, but the film I have is in color and the M-3 was camouflaged in the footage ... I will have to post a still of it as I don't think they where camouflaged, might be some later colorization hanky panky.

Well I've about got the first kit built, I say first kit as I got a hold of a Zvezde Kit that had enough flashing on it to build another model, so I'm going to get another one to build as now I'll know just just how screwed the directions are and how ill fitting this kit is, and I can make the needed adjustment on the second kit.
Overall for the age of the kit it's not that bad and the detail is fairly sharp but it does show it's age as far as the molding goes. Slight misalignment of the mold, to be expected with age, push pin marks, some pretty bad. But all in all it's good practice.

So the next kit will have PE set and I'm going to go ahead and scratch build parts for the mod on the first one, to make needed adjustments again for the second one.

Will try to post images later of the current first build. Really didn't want to build two, but oh well just not happy with the first.
