im in the first stages of building a normandy diorama and dont know much about the methods of reproducing 1/35 foliage. the dio will eventually feature two cromwells passing a captured marder 3m with british infantry guarding the german crew. i want to include one of the tanks passing through a hole in a hedge but dont really know how to make the hedge. any helpful tips would be great!

This is basically how I have approached foilage. For brush and hedge rows I just shrink the size of the trunk and canopy.

Basically, its 1. A stick, 2. Some lichen, and 3. parsley
There is a great aticle in a Diorama Book I have at hope. I'll try to post some times later tonight (Easter time US).

I highly recommend this book..
It covers every kind of terrain. I am certain that you will find it most helpful.

The Osprey Modelling manuals #7 is the book I mentioned earlier.
It has a complete diorama of a churchill smashing through a hedgerow into a German position. It covers all aspects of building the dio.

I have both of these books and they are excellent resources for creating realistic vegetation in 1:35 scale.
