Hello everybody:
Sorry I failed trying to insert the link as klickable.
I want to share with you all one of the kits Iīm building. Itīs a Jagspanther late from Italeri in 1/35. Iīm planing to use an aftermarket set of traks (Modelkasten), but Iīll have to try if they fit properly in the track wheels (hope so).
It will represent a vehicle in the Ardenes 1944.

I could not make the link clickable or insert the picture, try hosting at the MSN Armorama site, it is easier for hosting images.

Nice - love the road wheels. They look GREAT - do share the technique on those. Hand painted, AB, what mask - all the dirty details.

Thanks Slodder :
Shure here it goes:
The road wheels were first airbrushed with MM Olivgrun starting from the center and covering all the wheel up to the rubber part. Then I airushed MM Dunkelgeb in an irregular patern. It doesnīt matter if the paint overspray the rubber part. Then when this is well dry I hand painted the rubber end with Humbrol Matt Blak mixed with a pair of drops of White, this very well diluted to allow the paint to run over the edge of the metal part of the wheel and also to obtain invisible traces of the brush. I repeat this several times until the desired intensity of colour is reached. I know itīs a tedious work but I like the result and you donīt have to use masks (here is very dificult to find them). This process took me three days (more or less 9 hours).
The dirt in the lower hull was applied with a brush before attaching the wheels and it is Tamiya Putty diluted with cetone and when itīs dry, painted with artist oils, the same in the rear of the vehicle.
The cammo was airbrushed freehand with a Pasche single action using Model Master Enamels (Olivgrun - Dunkelgeb) and Humbrol German Red Brown. The dots were applied by hand with a good quality brush (nš 2).
The overall coat is Humbroll Clear.
For weathering Iīm planning to use oil washes and pastel chalks. Hope it all ends OK..
When finished Iīll post the images.
