Hey Guys,
I am in!

I have one going right now! I posted it in the Scratchbuilt forum ("E-25 what if?")

Check it out and let me know what you think.

When I update the pics I'll post them here.

Hi Guys.
I got together with friends for our weekly AMPS Nordland build meeting this morning.

Here is a photo update of some models that fit this Campaign.

A pair of E-10 "What-Ifs"

Here is my E-25 "What-If"

It is a SturmE-25 basically a widened E-25 hull with a SturmTiger type rocket projector. I used the kit suspension, and kit parts from Italeri Panther D, Dragon Jagdpanther, and Tamiya T-34. Everything else is Styrene or brass wire.

Feedback Welcome.

Steve-

Great work on all of those E-10s...

What is the gun mounted on top of the E-10 in your first batch of photos?

I really like the idea on your modified E-25. Probably with your additions you may have stumbled across a variant for a E-50. With the widening of the hull and the armament modification it would probably weigh in over the 25 tons....

Great creativity! Hats off to you.

The gun mounted on top of the "modified" E-10 is the 3cm. Jaboschreck, I had wanted to a do,, weapons system the could be fired from within the vehicle.

Hey Ssgt Mack-

The 3cm armed E-10 is Jim Norian's work. The stretched hull E-10 with the 88mm is Tom Masterson's. It has "what-if" interior detail as well.

I believe Jim used this kit for the gun-:

http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/dragon/dr6353.htm

Another club member is working on an E-10 Flammpanzer.

My E-25 more like 50 tons- you are probably right..... it would be a lot heavier. I try not to over-think it. We built them all as an opportunity to share some scratchbuilding techniques.

It has been fun watching them evolve.

Thanks for your comments Mack!

Steve

Scott,
We have enough interest IMHO.

Here is a quick head count- or more accurately- my guesstimate based upon comments in this thread.

12 "IN"

Jesper
Stuart-Tanker (if he can build a plane)
T "Murphy" McCracken and
A-Train
Paul P (sounds good to me- Aussie Leopard- I am definitely in)
Scott Southerland- you never really stated you would???? But it is your thread.
Bruce Miller
Eric Johnstone (Count me in if it is a go)
Rob Harvey (great Campaign idea...)
Steve Reid (and at least two friends from AMPS Nordland)

..... and 5 tentatives:

Toumas Hirvilammi (with time condition)
David Waters (sounds interesting to me)
Emre Efli (conditional-I would be in)
D.B.M (tentatively interested)
Matt Leese (sounded interested)

Restate the parameters- set an end date and have Matt Leese bless it off.

Hi Steve;

replace tentative with IN I have a couple of ideas. First a NZ M41 ARV, much talked about but never made it to the drawing board and secondly a RamAbrams

cheers

OK final parameters for the campaign.

Models of any scale.

Any T2K type vehicles What ever your imagination can dream up...........

Any modern AFV wheeled or tracked E.G an American army leo a British LAV3 ETC
All vehicles must have a back story as to why they they are what they are this can be as complex or simple as you like.

Any WW1 WW2 AFV what if's E.G British T-34 soviet Tigers ETC
All must have a back story as to why they are being used this can be as complex or simple as you like.

Any what if scenarios as complex or simple as you like E.G Tigers rolling over middle east T-72,s landing on the eastern sea board let your imagination run wild all must have a back story.

Let me know what you all think? any preferences for start and Finnish dates?

Scott,
I need a little clarification.

What is T2K?

Forgive my ignorance- but I know someone else must be curious too.

Now for the rest of you guys- recruit someone else for this! You know there are lots of people who like "What-Ifs"

I already recruited Andrew Spence-

I would really love to join in on the fun because you hardly get the chance to do whatever you want in a campaign but the only thing I need to know is:

When?

Have you decided on a starting date yet? I'd be glad to join if it starts some time in June or later. I'm pretty busy until then.

Cheers and let's hope this'll be a good one!

Well I guess It'd be over then.

But yes, June 1st '09 to January 1st '10 would be good, depending on how complex some of the people may want to make their final model and background story you could always extend it out a bit.

Keep modeling!

I am in as previously pointed out. I think an E-100 for me. Maybe with some extra modifications. Some sort of flak on the top maybe....

Hope this one gets approved...

Hi Steve,

T2K is an abbreviation for Twilight 2000, an old fantasy-desktop kind of game (could also be a pc game, not sure). Basically, it takes place in an "alternate" year 2000 (it was devised in the 1980s) where the Soviet Union did not collapse, went to war with NATO and the whole world became a hectic battlefield. France and Belgium withdrew from NATO and tried to refrain from fighting, American forces were stranded in Europe, the United States went to civil war between a military and a civilian government, USSR started disintigrating.... you get the idea.

Having recently played Fallout 3 (a sequal to the Fallout games, all of which also take place in a post-apocalyptic USA after WW3), I was thinking of creating a scenario that contains elements of T2K, Fallout and other post-nuclear apocalypse stuff like Mad Max. So if I get around building the thing on my mind, it will be a sort of "road warrior" in 1/35 scale, we shall see.

No problem, it usually takes me until July to realize that the new year has begun and by that time it's already almost over again.

Well you can definitely count on me if it's not too soon and honestly I think that for some who will do dios and a full background story 6 months might be too little. We all have other things to do at the same time so would anyone object to inquiring if 12 months would be possible for this campaign?
June 1st, 2009 - June 1st, 2010?

I already have something planned for this campaign and I wouldn't know how long it would take me to pull it off. It's rather complex.

Cheers guys!
