Here are my in progress pictures of my first attempt of using putty, sanding, airbrushing.
The kit is an old Esci from the middle ages. The fit is lousy but it was quite a challenge.
Next step will be the decals and the weathering.
Any comments and/or suggestions.
Thanx

Looking good so far.
I really like the track colour, how did you do this?
The windsheild wiper makrs are a good touch but you should attempt to vary the consistenc of the dust on the windshield. I assume you are adding more mud/dust to the lower half of the vehicle?
Nice work,
Andrew

Dirk, Dirk, Dirk,
What are you trying to do to me? #:-) Congrats on a very nice job.
You know that I am building the exact same kit so I know the fit problems and the soft details, but you made that sucker and you made it good
I love the basic track color and I can't wait to see the MIG pigment on them (maybe I swing by your house and look over your shoulder )
Nice gray color, seem to be smooth, so no remarks there, also a nice wood color on the shovel.
I see that you dusted the window, seeing that you made it a bit heavy you must remember to dusty the vehicle to the same extend.
I see that you included the howitzer, I have thrown mine in the spare box, to much warping to get it right
One thing that I would change is the canvas hood, the plastic is to smooth and lacks any detail, I would cover it with tissue and PVA glue (straps from paper or lead foil).
Also I would give it a more tan color, so that the color of the canvas breaks the color of the vehicle, otherwise it comes over as one big blob of gray.
First kit in a long time, hey, yep like I believe this now #:-)

Great build. Wonderful color, good tracks, nice dash board. Great subject. Ronny - you're up!
Couple things - The dash is good as it and I would go ahead and tone it down with a dark wash. I know, the color looks good, I struggle with this too. For realizm a bit of tone over it will help. You ultimately choose.
Is that an ejector pin mark on the back right door? If so I'd putty that and repaint. If you are displaying it so you can't see it, then don't worry about it.
General kit comment, nothing about your build. The seats seam very stiff, very vertical.

Thanx guys for the comments. Just what I needed to finish it of.
Oberst, the track is painted with Humbrol 113 rust matt
Steve, the windows are done as follows : first masked with tamiya tape, then the form was cut out and airbrushed with tamiya buff.
I will post some new pictures as the project developes.
Greetings

Love the paint job. I have said many many times, it's not the quality of the kit, it's the quality and dedication and attention to detail of the kit builder. Well done so far. Pleas post photos of the finished model.

Hello Elmo,
I've painted the wheels first and then assembled. I painted them first gray, then I masked of the inner circle and sprayed the rubber rings with tamiya xf69 nato black.
Good luck with your kit.
