Simple Subject, 88mm Canon..
Put any 88 canon on any tank chassis, WWII or modern (Stryker, Leopard, Centurion,T-54...)

You can build a Tiger/ King Tiger tank plain and simple kit or trying something different like building a SP Centurion Chassis with a 88 flak...

March 2009 - Nov 2009

Feel free to comment, join and build !!

You mean like what if? I think it would be better to include only machines with real 88mm. mm.. Nashorn..

How about any 88 at all - AA installations, towed PaK, halftracks, tanks, etc.

the more diverse the options, the more general appeal it will have and the more people will sign up. It'll also help there being more than Tigers being built.

regardless, I'd sign up for this one.

Any 88 at all, in any tank chassis, simple AA mount, on half-tracks ... anything goes

In that case I would be up for it. I have a 88mm Flak in my stash. I am just waiting for an excuse to build it.

Wow, given the predilection for both campaigns and 88s in these forums, I am quite surprised this proposal isn't getting a LOT more traffic...

are the ace models 1/72 88s any good? I'm new to armour and really enjoyed building
the trumpeter tiger 1/72 but the old hasegawa tiger is just horribly crude and although
I'm making a fist of it but the lack of detail is a bit demotivating.

I mean are the kits any good? or can anyone recommend 88 AA or AT in 1/72.
SHQ, hasegawa, and ace are ones I've found in my budget.

I haven't been building to much armor lately, but the 88 Field piece is one of my favorite subjects. I have a Tamiya kit I wouldn't mind putting in a little vignette. I'm in.

Cheers,
Mike

Sorry to ruin your entry, but afaik in most campaigns builds must be started inside the schedule. You have already began it (=outside schedule) so I don't think qualifies!
