Hi Terry,
I love what you've done with the E-100. How did you make that cool muzzle break?
cheers,
John

Very nice build. I have one question for you, did you move the turret. I found that the turret sits 1/8 inch to far back on the ring. It can’t do a 360*. The bottom rear corner hits the drivers vent cover. I’am in the process of building one also and am waiting for two more to arrive. I like the Trumpeter kit a lot more than the DML one..

I like the muzzle brake on this machine. Please comment on how you made this.

Hi guys,
The muzzle break and the bow gun were made on the 3D printer that my design firm has. I considered making some workable tracks, but didn't have the time. If anyone needs some part created let me know and we will work something out.

Hey Red Raider
You said you thought about making some workable track for this thing. I could use eight sets right now.
Let me know. Let’s talk.

Wow, thats a big Tiger tank, lol. The front plate on that thing is almost as wide as my little E-25 is.
Very nice so far Terry. I really like the periscope lenses and the tracks. They are some of the best tracks I have ever seen painted. Good job mate!

Hello Terry,
if you like to build this E-100 that accurate I would think about to repaint the lenses of the IRs.
Usually they were not red but they were colorless as infrared is invisble to the eye.

Hi Marco,
Thanks for the imput. Can you tell me how the IR lens would appear(what color) as I just used the box art as a reference.

Hello Terry,
the optcis should appear in a dark color.
Black might be the best choice to imitate the necessary depth of the optics.

Just my personal observation, the E-100 had absolutely nothing to do with the Tiger-program.
The E-75 was the study for the replacement for the Tiger-B, as the whole Tiger-program was scheduled to end in the second half of 1945.

Hi Herb,
Since we are talking about an almost Sci-Fi tank which by the way has many features of the Tiger II I am open to any name you would like. I just thought E100 sounded like a jet plane instead of 100 ton tank.

..Hey RedRaider if you have some old 35mm negatives laying around?? You can make very nice IR lenses out of the undeveloped part. Our just paint them a gloss black, but hte film looks better.

I really wanted to get one of those E-100s, but its too tall for my shelves and there isn't much point in putting such an impressive tank on the top shelf. I wish that this kit had come out before I put the shelves on the wall. Dang
