Thanks guys I appreciate the posts. Again, I hope to have an update posted soon, "real life" has taken away much of my modeling time recently, but I think things are hopefully getting back to normal.
Zhang, you are very right! The seams on the sides should be there. Looking back at my pics that is probably the seam that Seb was asking about. I thought he was talking about the seam where the two barrel halves are joined on the top and bottom.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Great comparison photo with the Abrams as it gives a view not often seen in modelling.
Did you think of doing this in UN markings or is it just the Italian Centauros that were used?
I got mine on Friday from a fellow modeller as a birthday present and would luve to see an AM barrel for this kit.

Hi Dave, thanks for the comment. As for the white Centauros with the UN markings, so far only Italian ones have seen use in this role. I have seen pics of a few Spanish Centauro's painted in white. Apparently it was in anticipation of possible UN deployment to Lebanon, but it hasn't happened yet if it will at all.
Ok guys, I finally got a little modeling time earlier this week. I added all of the small plastic details on the vehicle (no PE yet), finished the main gun and muzzle brake. I then scratched a longer version of part #B14 and attached it to the rear of the bustle rack, since I went that route I had to cover the mounting holes on the top of the turret rear with some thin strip. I was only able to find one pic of a Spanish Cent with that particular part located where Trumpeter tells you to put it, and it appears to be one of the very early VRC-105's that were delivered, all other shots I have seen have this part hanging off the rear bustle. There is also an extra antenna base on the top of the turret rear, again in all the shots I've found it was blanked off, so I filled it with some appropriately sized rod, cut it off and sanded it smooth. I have started work on the mantlet cover, cutting it down, so it will sit flush as it should, what a pain in the proverbial a$$! . This is one part that I would like to see one of the aftermarket guys deal with, yes it is doable but it would just make life a little easier . Ok, on to the pics, oh and sorry about the photo quality. I got a new camera and I'm still trying to figure some things out.
Cheers,
Mike

Here are some recent threads in Panzernet with pics of Spanish Centauros.
In the first one there are some vehicles with a temporary field-applied camouflage:

Well sad to say, but due to a series of unfortunate events I have done very little modeling in the last 10-11 months and the Centauro is still unfinished. I did pull it out a couple of weeks back and have done a little work on some things, mainly some scratch work due to the rather poor quality of some of the photo-etch, and also the mantlet dust cover. I was also just today checking out some pics posted online to get some paint and weathering ideas, so hopefully I'll have something soon. Thanks for the interest.

Thanks for the links Cesar, those are the threads I was looking through a little while ago, some great shots in there! That field applied camo is very interesting.

Probably too late, but it does look pretty detailed.
