I would like to see more civilians in semi neutral positions that allow modellers to customize. Women(regular not super model type), children(boys, girls, fat/slim) and the aged are especially needed.
Media/press, diplomats, senior/high ranking officers and non-weaponized military figures(similar to Trumpeters' loading figures)
Looking at the experiences of Adam from Australia and his diorama there is a need for these figures.

This is what I would like to see (in 1/35th scale):

1. Vietnamese civilians of different varieties (peasant farmers and their families, city people, women in traditional Ao Dais, children, bar girls, etc)
2. US Infantrymen struggling under the weight of fully laden lightweight rucksacks with the proper frames
3. US Servicemen not wearing any equipment performing day to day routine tasks or conducting "R&R" type activities (such as Bravo 6's "Me so Horny - GI and Boom Boom Girl upcoming release)
4. Viet Cong and North Vietnamese troops in fighting poses, as prisoners, and as casualties.
5. Australian Infantrymen in patrolling or fighting poses
6 ARVN and CIDG personnel

MasterBox and Bravo 6 are already making some strides in the area of Vietnam subjects, so that is a positive thing.

Cheers,
James

North Korean and South Korean troops as well as U.N troops circa the Korean conflict. As well as modern Russian troops, especially FSK, FSB, GRU, OMON and Spetsnaz, with uniform decals to go with them as it's a real pain trying to paint the Russian flag and the FSB etc. letters onto a uniform. I'd also like to see a company like Dragon or even Tamiya produce a set of Armia Krajowa fighters. I almost forgot to mention Russian troops in gas masks and NBC gear (circa 1980's) as I wanted to do a small Chernobyl diorama to honour the heroes of the battle of Chernobyl.

I'm pretty sure I'm seconding here, but I hope we at least get some request fulfilled.

Contemporary elite forces from all over the world (shame on you Dragon, for tryin to sell old SEALs as modern day SEALS)

Vehicle drivers and passangers for modern military vehicles across the globe. Hopefully made to fit most models

Dead and injured guys

Troops in NBC gear, any from a NATO nation would do for now I guess.

PMC's, Trumpeter has a good set, but I ask for more variety

US Army or Marines Combat Engineers

Civilians, all shapes and sizes

Some one is going to bust my chops over this, but how about some NATO/US/UK soldiers from the late cold war era, i.e. pre Desert Storm. Even some US Desert Storm Tankers that ARE NOT in BDU's. How about some guys in CVC suits with and without helmets. The CVC suits were used from at least the mid 80's through the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. We always see these with the new style flak vest and never just the CVC. How about it gents. More israeli tankers and infantry would be nice too. Cheers.

In 1/48 scale I would like to see:

For diorama's in combination with airplanes and helicopters,

any today Air force pilots, mechanics, officers...

and civilians

and a wide range of skysoldiers (would do nicely with my chopprs) all in every day life poses working, sitting, hanging around, eating....

A bit off-topic: there is a huge need for modern airfield equipment from fire extinguishers to anti-aircraft guns, from cranes and tow trucks to fuel trucks, mobile radar equipment, mobile control towers...

And now that i got started: some jet engines on trolleys would be nice as well

It would be good to see some modern British figures both infantry and vehicle crews as they seem to be overlooked at the moment, as do Modern US armoured crews. Both of these have some excellent options in resin but I cannot think of any in plastic other than an early Gulf War US crew.

Not sure if it cropped up already, but how about some modern museum tourists? You know, middle-aged guys with cameras...

A set of this or that uniform will be useful to some, but regardless of what we model there is always a potential to have it as a display in a tank museum! The audience-base for such a figure set is therefore "everybody". A comparison is the old 1:24 scale racing pit crew set, which is so universal that it features in its own contest class alongside lots of different car kits.

(Somebody here was asking for ideas for resin figures recently, and I offered the same thoughts.)

Some Indian troops of the British Commonwealth, both infantry and tankers. After all, they were one of the biggest volunteer armies of WW2, yet are barely mentioned (which really gets my goat I might mention!)

Also, maybe a little more obscure for large manufacturers, but some Indische Freiwilligen-Legion 950 would be very desirable....for me at least.

Hi Peter, I've got a few evolution figures, which are simply superb. My only gripe I have with them (as I mentioned) is that I have to hand paint things like the russian flag with FSB (in cyrilic) badge, rather than an undoubtedly much easier to use decal. Even with a 0/5 brush, it's damn hard to do. Does anyone know a company that does modern Russian uniform decal patches?
This may sound a bit morbid but I'd like to see more injured or dead soldiers or civilian, so as to more accurately reflect the horrific nature of warfare. I often feel that too often there is an inaccurate depiction of war in dioramas & vignettes. I saw a diorama at modelling show where the guy had shown a Russian field hospital. The men had horrific wounds, the floors were blood soaked. The anguish and pain was positively palpable and it was deeply moving. Yet I heard people complaining about, saying it was too horrific or even grotesque. Yet I feel that as modellers it's our job to show the fallen heroes & the pain & horror of combat. I'd be interested to find out what you guys think about this.

Riot Police in 1/35 or 1/16th scale! SWAT cops even (yeah, I know, not too different from soliders in black kit).

Modern US/ UK troops in flip-flops, boxer shorts and a flak vest wailing awail on a '240b or Mk19! Again, 1/35 or 1/16 scales.

Israeli troops, any branch, modern period.

just my preferences...
