Riffing off of posts like What armour? and What Diorama accessories?...
And here's my list:
'Lesser' combatant nations, like the Dutch in WWII or the French during Desert Storm, and smaller NATO forces
Irregular combatants (I know, there are some)
Arabic forces
PAVN, PLA, smaller Warsaw Pact nations
Civilians, civilians, civilians! WWII to present, different regional styles. Modern war happens under their noses, it's sad but true.
Figures
Military figures of all shapes and sizes.

Sorry, but with the exception of 'Generic' Warsaw Pact figures, there is little than any manufacturer would touch... Manufacturers exist to sell in large units, these figures are far too obscure...
James' list on the other hand is considerably more practical...

I'd love to see innovators like Miniart and Masterbox come up with some civillians, and not just refugees... and some Vietnam era ARVN troops and VC Guerillas...
I think there are already plenty of Vietnam US troops in plastic and resin, though I'm bored with them, so another set or two from Dragon would be welcome (but maybe not so "bulky")
Some news reporters/cameramen/photographers, from any period 1960's onwards, and some humanitarian/medics - the tamiya stretcher party is now quite dated!
But no more German WWII figures please - I am so bored with seeing them every month of new releases!

I'd like Dragon to make some 1/35 US winter figures, mainly to replace their outdated and now OOP Bastogne set. It seems there is no lack of German winter figures, so multiple, high quality, Gen2 US sets would be nice. Of course, I'm partial to winter scenes. I'm not sure if there is a broader interest.

What I should like to see:
WWII Italians, Soviets, Brits, Japanese (infantry, artillery crews, etc)
Post-WWII Soviets
Civil War Chinese (both KMT and PLA)
Israelis
... I don't agree that we have enough Germans! The SS Volunteer Deputy Kindergarten Nurses are still missing

Exactly! Much more important than US Rangers or UK Commandos. Who needs those anyway? What else did these boring Allies do but win the war?

Well, I am living in Italy now, and slowly beginning to get an interest in Italian subjects. Yes, we could do with some Bersaglieri, Alpini, and why not a handful of Carabinieri as well.

I want to see more modern Israeli's. More modern figures from other countries would be great too. I don't want anymore german kit. There are thousands of 'm. It's the same as how I think of vehicle kits. We got maybe 100 Panther kits and not even 1 let's say Gepard (modern one).

Well, I would like to see more GI's in the M1943 uniform, HBT datigues( utilities to Gyrenes) This would include the late buckle topped combat boot or, even the jump boot. The Parsons jacket and leggings were pretty much replaced in the newer American units and there were a heck of a lot of them . I would like to see many more civilians: European, Asian and Middle Eastern from the 30's until now. I agree ,they do not all have to be refugees .
Commonwealth troopers are ill served particularly in the Far East and I would not object to more Viet Nam diggers, either .
As far as US and PAVN troops, yes!

US Marines and Army from WWII Pacific, fighting, marching, at rest, and as crews for vehicles-tanks, half tracks, armored cars-anything. And I second the motion for figures without gear. Many pictures I have of the Pacific theater show soldiers with no shirts, sleeves and pant legs rolled up, or with shirts untucked and looking rather untidy. Of course, if those figures came with a howitzer (any 37mm, 75 mm, or M1918 155mm would do) I would be most happy.
It would be great to have Australian/New Zeland infantry for the Pacific as well. And Japanese infantry. Same poses-fighting positions, but also marching and at rest. Opens all the possibilities in the world if you can add some figures to a scene. Makes a model into a diorama. If I had the ability to buy the full crew for the M8, or any other vehicle, in affordable plastic, I would do it. Dragon's M3 GMC would be so much more appealing with a crew of Marines to man it. I would also like to see Brazilian infantry from the Italian front. I know there are lots of folks out there who want more commonwealth representation from Europe.
This is the third time (I think) that I have entered into a thread like this. I am trying to do my part by purchasing models that represent my interest in the Pacific (I already have the Gen 2 Iwo Jima set and the M3 GMC has markings for Saipan) to show the manufacturers that there is an interest (mine) in continuing such topics. People keep buying German, and paper panzers, so that is what the manufacturers make. Money talks. Now, money is tight. They will invest in what they think is best for their business. To take the risk of making figures they have to be reasonably sure of the figures selling. I will keep hoping, but unfortunately I don't expect too much.

Well I know alot of folks want something besides German ww 2 figures. I purchaced these metal figures around 1980. These shown below are the casualties. One is designed to be
placed over a wall in two pieces. I've seen no company put out simular items.

Could be any WW2 combatant nation except maybe Japanese.
