Hi John
Looking very nice, can't wait to see more pictures. I think you've ballanced it well. Are those figures from Tank? They look very nice. Keep up the good work.
Best regards
Jacob

Thanks Jacob. Yes they are TANK figures. Quite good I'd say. I changed a few of the heads and resculpted a few items, but they work out very well. I'll take some better pics after I've made some more progress. Problem is, all I can see are red Xs!

That dio is looking fantastic John maybe you should upload your pics to one of the many magazine editors after it's finished so that they can do an article on it

Thanks for the comments guys. Maybe one of the forum hosts can put the pics up as I can't seem to ever get them right! The figures are still in the primer stage. Actually I undercoat everything, the base, figures, and pz4 in Vallejo gray black. As soon as I make some more progress I'll take a few more (decent I hope) pictures. Thanks again.

Stunning work John. I love the composition of the piece, although I sure wouldn't want to be under that gun when it fires!
Looking forward to your next instalment

p.s. it's probably easier to just right click the image in the gallery and copy the image URL than use the thumbnail link

I was thinking that too. Maybe the tank can be next to that scrap metal, and most of the figures behind the tank (could stand on a dirt mound or another piece of scrap) for firing. Another idea is to face the tank towards the debris like it will run through it to clear a path for the infantry.
I love your white wash job -fantastic! Greg

Hey Greg,
Don't get me wrong - I do like the position of the tank and turret. It works very well with the figures there, composition-wise and artistically, and adds to the drama. Personally I wouldn't change it - I simply wouldn't like to be under the barrel

Update and more quick pics. I've changed the layout to make the Pz4 more centrally located and flanked by the figures. I think I like it better this way. The last pic of the Pz4 is just to give an idea of some of the weathering involved to date. Lots of detail work remains. Still a ways to go.

Great job. Loving the new layout. Are you going to put a commander in the cupola by any chance?

Hey John,
The dio looks great, can't wait to see the figures painted up.
Cheers,

I like the second layout better, more realistic. The metal rubble is great. I look forward to more in progress shots.

Here are a few pics, my photography skills (or lack thereof) not withstanding. For all intents and purposes the dio is finished. I'm still going to add some minor details, but I'm gonna let it sit on the shelf for a few months and start another project. Asl always comments and/or suggestions welcome.
