Thanks for the heads-up, Eric.
It'll be very interesting to see how the HB Merkava 4 shapes up alongside the new offering from Academy.
The Panzer I Ausf. C looks interesting as well.

Well, it depends, will it be like one of their Leo 2's or like the AAVP-7A1 kit just recently released. If it's like the Leo 2's then I might pass, now if it's like the AAVP-7A1 it could be a real winner.

OK, I'm down for the Mk IC in a big way!

Really liked the looks of it when OnTrackmodels did it and am still kicking myself for not getting one when they were in production.
Now I can hold off for the Merkava IV reviews!

I still think the Mk IIID has cleaner lines though.....

their Leo 2s are the earliest products and their recent kits like AAV7 are far better, except Leo2 variants because they're mainly based on the early kits. But some coming kits like L2A6M or PSO(if possible) will improve with lots of new moulds

Um, I remember someone saying that HB and Trumpeter were kind of the same company.
Anyone have any further evidence of this?

It does give them the ability to release different subjects from each company... That could be useful.

I don't see why they couldn't have multiple releases under one name. No one is going to delay a release if everything is ready for the market.

Actually, Hobby Boss and Trumpeter are 2 separate companies.
Yes both factories are located near each other, but they are 2 separate companies.
Where the commonality and confusion comes into, is that Trumpeter's parent company (who's name escapes me now) is a company that makes the molds and shoots the styrene into them for both Trumpeter and Hobby Boss.
Basically Hobby Boss contracts the company to cut the molds and shoot the styrene for their kits, it is then transported to their factory, where its gets boxed up, decals and instructions added to it. In the end Hobby Boss is its own company and not owned by Trumpeter or their parent company.
No different than Sears contracting out to GE or Whirlpool to have their appliances made for for them under the Kenmore name. The appliances say Kenmore, made by GE, but in no way does Sears own GE, or visa versa.
Thanks!

Trumpeter's parent firm is Wasan. They sometimes offer some of their own older motorized kits under that label or Minihobby, their other house brand.
