Metal barrel and tow-hooks plus DS tracks and zim.
Just the perfect combo for me!

It should be a good seller and its great to see they have included a metal barrel.

Another great addition.
I can just imagine follow up kits coming:
Pz III and IV plus variants in Zimmerit
Panther A, JagdPanther
JagdTiger
That odd one out SdKfz 251 with Zimmerit.
Anyway, it is a great addition, and adding not only the Zimmerit but also the barrel and such, makes this kit even more a must have.
Current projects:
DML Tiger-B late conversion into final
DML Panther-G late
CH Panther-F
DML Panther-G Steel Wheel
All at the moment postponed until I've moved and settled in my new home! YAY!

I was just thinking of getting the ATAK Zim AM for this kit, so that saves me $30 right off the bat. I like the metal barrel, but wish they would include PE muzzle brake, too. Maybe I'll go for a canvas cover on this one?
Should be a nice fit with their recently-announced SPG crew.
I'm up for reviewing this if no one submits their chit.

Nice, looking forward to the release! Going to have to add it to my Ferdy/Elephant collection. Too bad the images are so fuzzy, can't really see the texture and patterns around the bolts. I'll be paying attention to the news updates on this one!

looks good, but shame it looks like it will not be coming with the photo-etch mudguards that came with the premier edition of the kit. they where really good!

What's up with the rear road wheel on the Elefant in those pics?

My guess is it got damaged in transit to the show or when being unpacked and put into the showcase.

Would be great if it had Magictrack instead of (or as well as) those horrible Dragon styrene tracks.

Bill, that is what the Dragon styrene tracks are, their version of glueable "rubber band" tracks.

It says on DML USA homepage that this will be released on march 2009. Still there is not preorder possibility in any hobby shops I use, which most likely it means this will be delayed. Anyone know when it might come available? I am eagerly waiting it for 88 campaign.
