I have submitted the campaign! Now it is just a matter of waiting... tick tock tick tock
Well, have fun guys (if it makes it in)
If it does, post your work here. Anyways, even if it doesn't, i'm still making a tribute to my grandpa and great uncle in scale. I hope you guys do too. Post your work here!

My Grandad drove an AEC Matador with 4.5" and later with the 5.5" gun with the 69 medium reg RA in North Africa
He was at ElAlamein,Alexandria,Tripoli, and Tobruk, and later went into Italy and was finaly demobed in Germany.
He was a big man with a massive heart,he hardly ever spoke about the war to me but my Nan told me the reason was that he was told to drive down and pick up the chow, and when he got back ,his whole gun crew had being killed by a fighter attack(me109) ,these were his best mates who he had gone through training with, and he never forgave himself. He was dive bombed (ju87) going from Africa to Italy and lost most of his souvenirs,Luger, helmet and a cuff title, but I still have the bino's from a German tankie
I parade his medals every remeberance sunday, and feel so proud to do so
I would love to build a Matador and a 55 as a tribute to him,and the friends he left in North Africa
A lorry driver ,to me a hero

Yeah, they are! Do you know if they tell you if they dont like it? Also, I have PMd Markm about the people who are interested, but have had no reply. If it doesn't make it that a bummer as plenty of people are interested.

I did not do any editing on the overview. Must have been some type of error. If you get me the text, I will get it added in.

M4A2Sherman, if you have any remarks on the banner just let me know and I'll change it.

Yeah... it's a tree... (man I suck as a graphic designer... people cannot even tell what I'm drawing... oh, I have an idea: ) but it's a Picasso-like tree so I'm not surprised you had a problem with recognition
I was searching for some kind of association with whole ancestors stuff (ancestors, family, family tree, tree, Picasso-like tree ) and I've ended with this ribbon.

Hi all!
Better late than never, as they say... Andrzej told me about this campaign, and as I have everything except one figure I thought I'd join up now.
As posted before: My grandfather is a Korean War veteran, he served with the US 2nd Infantry Division from July 1950 to January 1951 when he was severely wounded and evacuated.
The scene I'd like to create is of a story he told me of getting a ration of beer, 3 cans/bottles per man, when the order came to attack a hill. He and his buddy packed their 6 bottles in an empty ammo box, each grabbed a handle, took the carbine in the other hand and they ran up that hill, stopping and crouching only to reload. I'll add his ribbons and some other stuff to that.
I'll post some pics asap, but tomorriw I'll be going to the Ice Hockey World Championships, so no time for modelling...
Cheers!

Hi everyone!
So, had some time today and got the basic idea laid out. Working with wood for the first time in years... I'll probably be adding a 2. ID Indian Head patch and of course a dedication. The figure on the right will be replaced with something else, if I find anything...
So what do you think? Any comments on the layout?
Cheers
