Hi Gunnie. I will try and help as much as I can but dont think me becoming one of the board is a good idea at the moment. I have too many other commitments at the moment. Im also going on holidays this wednesday for 5 weeks. But when Im here I will always offer opinions and whatever else I can. Thanks also to twisted fate for volunteering!

What about for people that build with the seasons. In the spring and summer I like to build aircraft, and in the fall and winter I like to work on my armor, and armor related dios.

First of all, I love and hate campaigns. Love, because they make me finish a model - unlike before where it'd take me ages to finish one because I work with another and yet another kit. Hate because I'm "forced" to build and finish one.
All kidding aside, here's my opinion:
It's the individual model builder who has the problem - not the campaigns organizers - if he/she thinks that there are too many campaigns and he/she has a hard time going through the campaigns he/she participated. But I see nothing wrong in multiple campaigns.
However, I'd agree if there were definite schedules (like what PlasticBattle posted in his initial/topic post of this thread). There'll be "seasons" for certain genres. That way, some people will have time to research about their kit, or take a break from model building, or such. And while assuming there are, say, five or more proposed campaigns in one genre (e.g. figures), perhaps it would be nice to limit it to just two by voting or by selecting the two with the highest number of participants.
Another thing is I'd like to see more "rules" in a campaign, e.g. force people to build strictly OOTB or, like the WoW campaign, force people to put a structure or element in the build. This, IMO, will help bring out the creativity and imagination in people. Although campaigns like the CWCO and BoB have a "rule" (which is build a subject which was used in that battle or time frame), still it was a bit 'broad' IMO. Perhaps narrow it down further?

Hi,
After reading all those messages in this topic, I think I should throw my 2 euro cents - I agree that campaigns need a structure to manage them but not very tight rules that will kill all the fun we have with them.
The AERODROME campaign has born at the portuguese section, not intending to compete with the others campaigns running at the same time, because some of us are not too at ease with english language and don't participate on the international area campaigns, and has some others have joined, we have had a bilingual campaign - one at the portuguese area and another at the international area - so some have participated in both areas, others only in one of them.
So I agree with the idea having Gunnie has the "Campaign General" and I offer myself to be part of his HeadQuarters if he thinks I can help.

Thanks for all the support guys! The best thing that you can all do to help me out is do what you do everyday - share your thoughts and opinions!
This morning I created a Campaign Docket in the General Modeling Forum. I'm going to use this thread to put all the proposed Campaigns in there for the members of the Site to view. As the Campaigns evolve, I'll monitor those threads and update the formal posting. To keep it easy to read and understand, I'll remove any reply posts from that thread. Please keep all Campaign discussions in their originating threads. I'll monitor these and make updates to the Campaign Docket as needed.
Each proposed Campaign will have its own post. When it has enough participants and is ready to become official - I'll notify Big Jim. When he sets up the Campaign Folder for this idea, I'll go back and remove the post from the Campaign Docket. I think this will keep the Campaign Docket useful and displaying the most recent and relevant information.
This morning, the Naval Aviation and Twilight 2000 Campaigns are listed in the Campaign Docket.

:-) Gunnie, the campaign docket is a good idea, lets everyone know whats going on
I can't offer my services, yet. my new job takes up to much time, (I failed to meet the deadline on one campaign and I'm going to fail on another). I think the campaigns are an excellant idea and would like to help out where I can but I wouldn't want to let anyone down. Hopefully, soon, I'll have more time :-)
