Great Flak 37! Like your camo job, nice integration with the trailer assy. Your chipping came out well also, not too much but shows a wear effect. Cool! Looking forward to seeing it weathered up!

Thanks for sharing. Cheers -

Tim

Thanks ..Im trying to squeeze this one off for Sunday (Guelph show)...I have added foil to the piston arms and grease to the main gear, painted the gunsight, added the glass(future floorwax), and painted the seat (black acrylic basecoat drybrushed with various shades of artist oil grey and black..
Im al;ways careful how much weathering I do and tend to underweather cause if you go too far.....you know what happens ..

Thank you very much for the kind words..the paint usually takes at least 3 times as long as the build....
Id like to add some figs to this gun. Originally I had planned to have it being towed by a late cab Sdkfz. 11 with a couple of guys checking a map. Im also interested in the hopeless frenzy of the last month of the war and might have it abandoned on a street with an SS guy in a Zveltbahn leaning against a lampost cleaning mud off his boots with a knife.

Thanks Guy. The finishing is ...er,finished and weathering has begun...this is initial phase. Ill have to sit on it a bit and come back to do another round...I always tackle weathering in multiple sessions so I dont overdo it

I used a pencil to show polished metal on the towhook

This pic is fuzzy but shows tire weathering 1st stage. A mix of brown pastel was applied to the tread and edge of the tire and worked in ...the tread was drybrushed in flat black

another shot of the tire

The main elevation gear has been "greased"and the piston recieved a piece of Bare Metal Foil

The pic is a bit off kilter but it shows the gunsight and "glass"which is Future Floor Wax. You can also see the paint is worn right to the metal on the edge of the splintershield..it would be where the gunner grabs to hoist himself out of the chair.

Another shot of the piston arm..I like the addition of the foil.

another pic of the tire. I think they need more muck and dirt, but it will take another 2 rounds to get it where it should be ..patience always pays off..
