Mate, you got the drive sprockets on the wrong end!! They're supposed to go on opposite end to the gun.

I hope you haven't glued them on!

3 good reasons why ... at least
1st is that I bought the Tamiya KV-1B together with the Azimut conversion for a very few $
2nd is that EA kit is good but still perfectible and requires anyhow some work
3rd is that I like doing surgery and scratch buidling

nice build so far, i've got zevezda's SU-152, which i plan to update a bit, i also managed to pick up a dragon SU - 152 from their Korean War series... it has markings for a russian vehicle in berlin 1945 so i'll go with that, but i'll starve off temptation till i get some more AM stuff for it , and of course try to finish some of my other builds i've got on the go lol. keep up the good work Yvan i'll be watching this one with great interest. There'll be dio :
probably somewhere between Donetz and Dniepr, fall 1943
together with a german abandonned gun or vehicle

Yvan,
Great work! The weld beams are nice. Aren't those Masterclub tracks the Bee's knees?
Who makes the barrel?

Hi Chris,
The gun barrel is from Aber, really nicely detailed !
Sorry, don't get the point for the tracks :
what does mean Bee's knees ?
you know, I'm french and don't know all the subtil flavor of english language

Tks for the explaination David
For sure those Masterclub tracks are really state of the art tracks with fine molded details
the only negative point is that you have to open up the 4 holes on each link with a 0.6 mm drill

I unfortunately do not posess the patience to add all the weld seams and bolt heads. Hence why I build braille scale

Nice work Yvan. Keep it coming!

Yvan,
I noticed (if I can make out the serial number properly in the photo) that you are using MasterClub MC135028W tracks listed for the JS-2 / JS-3 / ISU-122 / KV-85 / KV-1 instead of MC135029W "JS-2 / JS-3 / ISU-122 / ISU-152 (Late) Tracks." How did you determine this was not a "late" SU-152? What differentiates the two variants?

Bill,
Indeed I don't think it's actually possible to distinguish an early or late SU-152 if ever there would be a real difference because the SU-152 production was not running for that long time anyhow ( less than 1 year )
but my choice was guided by the later diorama : this will be somewhen during fall 1943 between Donetz and Dniepr
thus the MC135029W "JS-2 / JS-3 / ISU-122 / ISU-152 (Late) Tracks would have been ... too late for that project
Also another reason is that SU-152 used KV-1S hull then the MC135028W tracks listed for the JS-2 / JS-3 / ISU-122 / KV-85 / KV-1 might make more sens
But anyhow, everything is questionable because I don't have a real solid reference other than these thoughs

Thanks, mon ami, I am going to keep my eyes out for an Eastern Express kit.
With these vehicles produced mid-war, would any of them have been part of the Battle of Berlin?

I think so, even if I do no have a picture to show as evidence, but there were still SU-152 in units in 1945
There is a well known one captioned East Prussia 1945
