Well... there's only a few days before the Panzers "explode" in this Campaign. So I thought that I'd check in and see if everyone is preparing for the "invasion".
I went "digging" in the stacks to find all the details that I needed. A DML Panzer III E complete with ModelKasten tracks and a DML Stug III D
Only five days left until the start! Man, what a great idea for a campaign!
Later,
Tim

I am going to be fielding a Panzerjager I. This will also be my first attempt at AM stuff. I plan to use Eduard PE, Moskit muffler, and Fruil tracks. I figured it was time to try some PE.

LeFH18 from AFV as well as an KV II, and if time allowed, maybe throw in either a 222 or Stug III ausf B for boot.
Except for the LeFH18, all will be having at least a sheet of PE

I am building a Panzer II F. Using the simple Tamiya model. For a newbie like me, simple is good!
Can't wait to start.

I've got a Techmod T-50 light tank and an Alan PzKpfw II Ausf. C I plan on using. Both will be OOB although I may have to find a barrel for the T-50, the kit one looks like the mold slipped. In that case the T-50 will be modifed.

I think I am doing something soft skinned, maybe a Horch. Then again that depends on what Barbarossa type stuff I find for 50% off at Hobby Lobby today... Hee Hee.

According to Achtung Panzer, the Ausf. F was introduced in March of '41...so there is a distinct possibility of the F being deployed for the invasion.
Sorry, Dave...

Recon showed that the originally intended mission (build an Sd.kfz 10/5) can not be accomplished, due to the fact that some of the parts needed (the vehicle) will not be available before September 2003. So new plans had to be made:
Mission: Build a Sd.Kfz 7/1

I'm all ready to go too! I might even do a couple besides the BT-7 that I planned on modeling. This is shaping up to be a big Armorama Campaign!

I'll be doing my first German vechicle, the Tamiya Sdkfz 250/1 since it's the only Barbarossa item I have in my stash. I'll keep to my policy that the only good German vehicle is a dead German vehicle. My plan is to have one track knocked off, along with a couple of road wheels. I hope to model it with all the storage compartments open and empty to show how the crew abandoned it.
I might possibly include some Russian figures checking out the halftrack, if I can find any that I can afford.

Dave, I am honored to have answered a German armor question for you, seeing in as many times you've done the same for everyone on ArmoramA. You are quite the expert, and a good sport too!

I am going to build a Dragon Stug III Ausf A. Pretty much straight out of the box. This is my first campaign. Does the $30 limit apply to the kit and add-on's or just the add on's?

Unsure of where your thoughts of a $30 limit come from. I don't recall it being in the Barbarossa rules. I could be mistaken, but I am the campaign leader.Does the $30 limit apply to the kit and add-on's or just the add on's?
I'm thinking if this thing gets real big, we may need to break the 4 categories into 8 by separating Russian from German entries. Any thoughts on this?
As of today, 16 June, there are 61 participants and it would be a shame to just chose four "winners" (no prizes, just honors). This may give Soviet entrants an unfair advantage since I assume the majority of builders will be making all sorts of early German vehicles and only a few doing Russian stuff.
I'd like to hear some views on this before I make the decision before the start of the campaign on the 22nd.

Well Ive gotten one of the 347 sdkfz 222s, that is going to be built in this campaign and just to show a little variation, Im gonna do a sdkfz223 as well!
Its so long since I made a dio.... I think a few figures will included as well! I have a few other items in my stock that would suit this campaign as well .... mercedez lorry, field kitchen, pzr IV ausf D. I just dont know what I will be adding yet. Depends on time probably! Im off for 2 weeks holidays tomorrow, so IŽll have a think about it then.
Good luck guys

Well I have my Maquette PzKpfw 38(t) Ausf D ready to go I am waiting for my Fruli tracks and I may use the Jordi Rubino barrel. If I can spare the time I may throw in a soviet T-26. It looks as though the 38(t) is going to take a lot of filler (sink holes) and I have to fabricate some missing parts. So I will have to see if I have the time.
