Anyone ordering that beast from HK is going to pay more for postage than for the Kit. That is going to be a mean model to put together (Now where did I leave that piggy bank?).

This one will be cool if it includes some figures (unlike the Karl)...
on a related note, my friend at my local hobby shop showed me a pre-order flyer for a Trumpeter (I'm 99% sure it was trumpeter) Leopold for around $130 USD. Hmm...how can I talk the wife into that one??

Another big German kit, what a surprise!
There was a post on Track Link a little while ago, Jason, 6 figures in the kit!!
And the Hummel has the SPG crew figures in it.
Cheers

Big kit, big bucks. Might still be worth it to have one. The Dragon stuff has been pretty economical lately. Particularly since they moved to Shanghai.

Kind of reminds me of the 1/32 scale A-10. Everyone wanted one, but what do you do with it when it's built?
I'd prefer newer early US AFVs like the M3 Lees, a DD Sherman, an M4, etc.

Off the top of my bald head, well, no. But after some googling I came up with a scale length of just over 32 inches.
Good Leopold link below. Good pics.

I just had to pre-order a Leopold, just so the Karl in my stash won't get too lonely. Think I'll pass up on the LCT 4, and use the money to buy a bigger house...

HI, If you got the Karl you're going to get the K 5 E. It's not a matter of 'if, but 'when' is all.
As Admiral Farragut said: "Damed the torpedoes, full speed ahead!" Buy it first ,worry about where to put it later. There will always be a place, somewhere or other. I don't know what I'm going to do with the Karl once it's done either, but I'll find a place. Guess I've always wanted a curio cabinet for ME anyway, even if I have to put it back on the back wall in the back room.
Take care, sgirty

Squadron.com lists the Dragon for $90, and a 1/35 Leopold from Trumpeter for $126
wonder if they are each cast from the same master ?

Greatmodels has them for $72 and $100.

Come on guys. As far as models themselves go it is not really that big. Think about all the wingy thingy guys with their B-52s and Constellations. And the floaty guys with the Bismarcks and Titanics. I already have my lovely wife convinced that the Leopold will look just fine on the mantle over the fireplace. I even told her I would dust it...

True,
I have a 1/72 BUFF sitting on the 'to do' pile, don't have a clue where I'll put it once it's done- darn thing is HUGE!

Was this the same size gun as Anzio Annie? How many of these rail guns did the Germans have? This one packed an 11 inch gun, were there any bigger ones used? And no way JOse, I still have all three of those 350 scale carriers to find homes for once I build them, let alone their expected brothers Nimitz and Lexington, and now there is Leopold and I still have that old Dragon Wagon to go. Like the man says "gonna need a bigger boat"

I'm Thinking the Leopold is similar to Anzio Annie...probably more like aclose cousin or something.
By the way, isn't that the 1/35 DORA? Holy Crap in a HAT. I knew it was big but geeze. Yeah, THAT will be made in plastic someday...NOT!
I'm still hoping for a 1/350 Kirov-class BC out of all this large-scale nonesense.
