Can someone connect me to a site for hints on constructing the Tamiya KV1 tank? I am rather weak (what an understatement) when it comes to reference material on the former commie tanks. I am looking for painting hints also.
thanks

Not really alot to know about building this kit...all you really need is maybe a P/E sheet and some new tracks and this baby can be built in a week end...As for painting it ....Either any good old russian green or white camo will do ...I had fun with this kit straight out of the box...really has that Russian look to it..

I think the tracks are the number one thing that need to be replaced. They are the old motorized type with no detail on the inner surfaces. I think I have the Concord Soviet Heavy Tanks book.

Have fun with it DJ - and share it with us! I have one of these old warhorses staring at me from the shelf. So many other things keep jumping ahead of it. These good old kits are best for stretching basic construction and painting skills - it takes a sharp eye and steady hand to bring out the interest in the older models like this one - but I've seen it done!

My Friends-- I thank you for your comments and the link. It is a nice old kit and one which is enjoyable to assemble. Show you the pictures as I progress.
thanks again
